CVF Downpipe install question

Hi guys everything's going smooth but I found this at the bottom of my box. There are no instructions anywhere and the YouTube videos I watched don't have or mention theae. Anyone know what they're for or where they go?

They’re spacers for your downstream oxygen sensors

Probably stupid question but does it need them? I didn't find them in the box until after the install

Yes. It’ll likely set a check engine light without them.
