CV Fabrication intercooler pipe kit Braptor- install instructions not available

Has anyone installed the CV fabrication intercooler pipes? I bought their set a few months back since i have their intercooler that I installed with no issues. I figured, lets stay with same company but I received the kit with no install instructions. i reached out them for 3 weeks via email and chat with no word back until yesterday which they write

Really?? I think it's pretty funny that you make a new product and then refer to another vendors set up since you don't have install instructions made. Does this give me confidence on your set up? Not really... I made the mistake in trusting them to be a good company and now paid over 500.00 for these pipes and no instructions. bad thing I waited too long to open the box to find this out because i sure would return them.

so if anyone has done the install of their kit and may have a video to share that would be great.

Unofficial supplemental instructions below:


1. Open hood.

2. Remove old pipes.

3. Put new pipes in place of old pipes.

4. Close hood.

5. Rejoice.

I purchased the same pipes and intercooler roughly 2 months ago. I messaged them to ask if they had instructions but they said as of now no, it's usually shops or experienced DIYers who install them. Being a lifelong wrencher I went straight at it and it was easy, took maybe 2hrs. Lay your stuff out on a table, take the plastic all off etc. I then took a few pics of the engine to be safe. Then I started taking parts off and matching them to the new stuff and put those back on. Really was easy, the hardest part was the connection to the drivers side turbo but even that wasn't bad. One BIG piece of advice- make sure you tighten the 2 Allen key plugs that are mounted near the throttle body area (one on the upper pipe, one on a pipe down lower). They are loose installed from the factory and one backed out the first drive which caused a CEL. I ordered a new one from Amazon, easy fix. Yeah, instructions would be cool, but it wasn't really hard and those combined with my 93 Panda tune has made this truck a BEAST. For the price I am VERY happy.

thanks for the great write and the things to look for during install. That was my main concern of the little gotcha's and didn't want to get into a situation during the install. I figured it was like a jigsaw puzzle just knowing the order to do them in.

Installed mine last week, I was annoyed with the lack of instructions too but it only took maybe 2-3hr total. As you start laying it out it's not too hard to figure out what goes where.

Thanks but that is for the 2.7 motor, not the 3.0 Braptor....different. but will give some insight. Seems the way to go is look at AFE ones or just lay out the parts. it will be a good puzzle to put together once we get back warm here

no biggie... it will give some insight on how their pipes go together as far as clamping and such. just good know folks looking out for one another here...that's what it is all about
