I'm keeping my truck, I have a 15 F150 4x4 SCREW with 33's, IVD shocks, RCI skid plates I built it for adventuring and long road trips. I can't part with it because of the carrying capacity and the 36 gallon tank, pre covid days I would carry 5-6 of my backpacking friends and all their gear on trips. Even car camping trips it would be hard to have just a bronco at least for me, my friends tend to like to keep their gear in tubs so that all goes in the bed. The flat floor in the rear seat area for the SCREW is amazing for hauling valuable gear aside from the bed also. Super useful as a mountain biker on shuttle days or even just carrying my bike in general, I don't like bike racks and it sucks being crammed into the back of my friends non full size vehicles when its their turn to shuttle. Plus having a truck as a homeowner is invaluable.

Getting a 2 door Bronco and it will be my fun trail and exploring vehicle. The f150 is too big to go in a lot of places offroad, but it has its place in my fleet. My Focus ST has got to go though.
Talking about your now you need to post a picture.

If I had to chose between a truck OR a Bronco, the truck would win easily. Not sure how people get by without a truck. I'm getting a Bronco, but I'm sure as heck not getting rid of my truck.
Never had a truck, never needed one... your post is subjective

I had a 2001 Rodeo as my rainy day car for a few years. Bought it cheap in mint condition from the original owner. It was in great shape mechanically but was the most boring vehicle I have ever driven. Thankfully, I sold it to a close friend and I can use it every once in a while.

I'll go out on the limb and say it. I'll take a true, body-on-frame, SUV any day of the week over a pickup for daily driving. Most of the stuff that people actually want to just "throw in the bed" of a truck can easily fit in SUVs. You don't have to worry about things getting wet or stolen. You can load up all your gear in the cargo area without a care in the world, even with four people in the car.

Unless you need a truck to do actual truck things (a very strong majority of owners don't), then you're better off with an SUV.

I've owned three pickups, and one cheap, boring, and dated SUV was able to convince me that SUVs are the way to go.

About the only thing I can think of that I could no longer haul is mulch. Easily delivered. Deer stands will fit in the 6' bed with seats down/out, long stuff fits with rear window out/open....

Truck was first and foremost a commercial work truck, so at the end of the day, it'll just be chilling at the office when I don't need it, and maybe someone else drives it from time to time

After owning used trucks for a long time and having all kinds of random issues pop up. I kept thinking "This truck would be great if I knew it's whole history". So in 2011 I bought a brand new F150 to keep forever. After five years I started buying other cars again, driving the F150 no less than once a week.

On the other hand, when I had my third Bronco and after that, a Wrangler, it felt weird owning both a F150 and a big SUV. But I have had some stuff in my truck bed that I had to pressure wash out, and that's not something you want to do to the interior of a $35k SUV.

That said, I could really just rent a truck the two or three times a year really need it, or buy a trailer and keep it in the back yard. In fact, my wife has bought big enough things off of Facebook marketplace I ended up renting Uhaul box trucks. I am not picking a fridge up, and I am not making two trips three counties away to get a living room set.

No kidding, as obviously plenty of people have never had a truck. Go to Home Depot and look at the stupid shit people do to get a single piece of lumber home.

Like I said, I don't know how you haul stuff around without one. Maybe you bum one off somebody else. Maybe you tie stuff to the roof of your car. Maybe you just don't ever take anything anywhere. I don't know. I use the bed of my truck weekly for all kinds of stuff. Most of what goes in there is the kind of stuff you would never want in the interior of your vehicle. Had a Blazer that permanently smelled of rutting buck. I didn't mind so much, but other's thought it odd.

Even the stuff that's not dirty takes up a large volume. I have several hobbies that require gear. Sometimes lots of it. I'd rather not tie most of that to the top of a car. Nor do I want to pull a trailer around all the time for stuff that easily fits in the back of the truck.

If you don't want or need a truck, cool. Doesn't mean I understand it though. I don't loan my truck to nontruck folks either. Figure if they don't need their own truck, they certainly don't need mine.

Then again, I use my 4WD weekly as well. Can't imagine those who don't need one.

I could never get rid of my truck. I drive my F450 to haul my horse trailers. The Bronco will be a daily driver, and for the dogs
My truck is my weekend vehicle for the horses and hauling farm stuff in my bed.
A truck is useful, a Bronco is fun.

Initially I was a little nervous about it, up until recently I drove a Tundra. I now realize that I rarely towed anything, so I decided on the trailer below. The Explore Flyer will be perfect for my outdoor adventures and allow me to haul almost anything I'd ever need to. With the Bronco and trailer below, all my boxes are checked.

I figured due to the dead deer aspect.

The single cab, short box is dead and gone for ever though.
Everyone seems to think this, and they are rare and hard to find, but definitely not dead or gone. I still get people coming up to me in parking lots saying "I didn't know you could still get those"

I love my reg cab short bed. I got the 4x2 version as its light and fast but you can get it in 4x4 if you want. Can see it in my sig pic.

You can even go on F150 build and price today and build one of the new ones in reg cab short bed.

Short bed being 6.5' vs 8' of course.. can't get the itty bitty crew cab 5.5' bed on a reg cab.
