I also drive 20k plus and is a daily driver for me I gave up lux before I even ordered and it was not a constraint because I have a family and the vinyl for me is very nice and alot more durable than leather. and as stated before if he ordered SAS or wildtrak The badlands has the beefier axles shocks lockers and also a sway bar disconnect without getting the SAS upgrade the lift and tires and wheels and better equipped than a wildtrak

IDK.... if you are ordering NOW.... hmmmm! Order what you want as a build. To take what is available (base) then put many $$$$ into the Bronco you want and / or have a shop do the upgrades for you want to just have a proper Bronco, seems pointless n expensive. And not to be ugly to ones that choose not to wrench on their Bronco. But, just buy the build. I / we know its a tough game with Ford parts and overall BS. We all are dealing with it...

IMO,... you end up spending more with sacrifice then with patience (yes, it's tough road). In the end you bought, married, and got what you wanted.

It's worth it...

Diclaimer... (lol) sorry about my rant., I've been dealing with it for my aftermarket parts. Patience...🤯

I think it might be more important to know why the constraints are in place. Hard top constraint is self explanatory but for example the SAS package what is it about the SAS package that they are having trouble fulfilling gearing, tires. wheels. axles etc. You can then make a more informed decision about what you can order instead and still meet your needs.

If I was ordering one of the lower trims I would be interested in the ones with the optional 4.27cogs and a rear locker. Aux switches for $195 also.
That would make a good starting platform for some 33" or 35" tires and maybe some aftermarket bumpers.

My thinking is one can for the most part install most Sasquatch parts through after market. Creating a lux package is difficult. Being a two door owner the soft top option never came in to play, but as posted previously after market hard tops are coming on line. To me a BL with High package can easily be upfitted with most of the options Ford currently can’t deliver. Then when it is all said and done, you more or less have a WT with the disconnect bar option.

Rumor has it The issues with the 35-in wheels.. Don't know if it's the rims or the tires but it's pretty sad that someone has to give up SAS because of something you can easily go down to discount tire and buy.

If this had affected my order (and I couldn't find what I wanted on the secondhand market), it would be a headache but I think the following is doable:

- to replicate Sasquatch, switch trims to non-sasq Badlands since they use the same suspension, and buy someone else's low-mileage wheels/tire takeoffs on FB Marketplace (+$2,000-2,500, locally). Sell BL wheels/tires to partially offset (-$1,100-1,500).
- pre-order the ADV Fiberglass non-OEM hardtop, probably in the 1-piece variant since I don't expect I'm going to be taking the top on and off repeatedly.

So how does the money shake out?

If I originally wanted a 4D Sasquatch Wildtrak, 2.7L, MIC top, and midrange options + a few small add-ons, I'd be looking at MSRP $57,890.

Compare to downgrading to non-sasq soft top Badlands, same options, that's $55,245.
Minus $2,500 for the shabby private offer = $52,745.
Plus $5,875 for ADV aftermarket hard top = $58,620.
Wheel/tire swap (+$2,500), (-$1,200) = $59,920.

So you've got a functionally-sasquatched Badlands with a hard top, manufacturable in 2023, for not much more than what the Wildtrak was going to go for. It's a move of denial and desperation, sure, and will take tons more effort on your part! But it's possible.
Plus the original price protection of the original order layered in if you have it.

Back to builds. You ordered a....Wildtrak, Badlands SAS, Outerbanks SAS, Black Diamond SAS, etc. You could no longer buy Wildtrak, BL SAS, LUX, OB SAS LUX etc. 4 door or two door. You could buy a non sas, non lux, non wildtrak something-two door or four door, knowing what you know after having seat time, where do you spend the 2500 and PP to make the Bronco better?
I have nearly 60k miles on my Bronco, and I could not really order what I wanted, so I started with asking myself how important it was to have a front locker (for me personally), it wasn't that important, but I wanted the roast cloth interior that came with the OBX.

So I started with a 2 door OBX 2.7 advanced 4x4 w/ lux and tow. I added 33's, rims, Badlands suspension, removed the front sway bar, adding the HOSS 3.0 steering rack, upgraded the stereo and essentially done. I still have a torsen lsd to install in the front differential at some point.

The Bronco I have on order is essentially the same except high package with aux switches. I plan on installing the same stuff (or better) and adding adaptive cruise control.

Many would probably be well served to ask themselves if some is a must have and why it’s a must have….like you thinking through whether you really needed a front locker (only used if your doing serious wheelin’).

Suspension, tires, and wheels are readily changed. Except sway bar disconnect.
GOAT modes can easily be added.
Top is readily changed.
Most LUX features cannot be changed.

So to me the only issue the sway bar disconnect and LUX features.

Wildtrack to Badlands is not a downgrade. Badlands = Rubicon. Wildtrack = Raptor with birth defects.

First then I'd do, is look across the Country for a 2022 Base, Sasquatch, 2.7, Hardtop at $5k ADM or less. Add window tint $400, Homelink mirror $125, and tow hitch $250. Lots of money left to make it yours, maybe $2000 on Katzkins with heated seats (depending on where you live).

If not that.

BLs, then blow the money on either take-off Sas wheels/tires, or buy the Everglade rims package for $1200(?). I wouldn't spend a cent chasing that extra 1/2" lift of the Sas package, and I would not ever consider one of those fiberglass tops that companies can't bring to market till they've been well proven. The four door has to have 35's and the two door looks great with 33's, IMO.

Sasquatch is the no Brainer. Everything else can work or change but Sas.

No Sas, it like every other suv with better clearance.
This has been a tough few weeks on top of a tough few years for many who have not been scheduled/delivered. Help those of us waiting and now changing orders with our builds.

If you had 2500-to 5K and a buildable bronco today (no sas, lux, hardtop). Where do you spend your money/upgrade a deliverable Bronco-fix what will break etc.

Thanks all. Hope others can ask qs given commodity constraints for a guide to build an actually deliverable bronco and one that customized with aftermarket options to meet their needs long term.
Athough I’m awaiting my 2Dr, Badlands, SAS, LUX to get off of the train, really feel your pain here and am sad with you after my wait since July 2020.

Think the replies have maybe missed the mark you were aiming for because you’ve left out perhaps the most important part, what are you planning to do with your Bronco? As that would drive what I’d try to suggest and likely many others. You’ve got guys here in their own heads, but what you need is some guidance on what’s in yours.

So, do you plan for this to be an off-road build, or street driver? No issues either way, but my decision on where to spend $2500 would vary.

For example, for off-road, if you must also bypass the Badlands, then go Big Bend, then focus on armor first, maybe wheels and tires, but you’ll need to upgrade the suspension and that’ll be far above $2500, think maybe $4000 for something decent. For off-rpad, cosmetics would be my last consideration, but that’s me.

Adding many lux features is about as challenging as adding the HOSS 3.0 steering rack.

Get a base 2 dr. either engine is plenty to keep it agile. The seats are fine and the plastic is the same in the "Lux" package. The lux speakers suck so aftermarket would happen regardless. Theres plenty of SAS takeoffs on this forum to get you there for way less $$$. I've spent $500 on the Rekgen XL mudflaps and the RC brushguard. Im just looking for better tires to offroad in and ill be content. If you're deadset on a 4dr then get the 2.7, The soft top is less hassle to enoy the open air anyways!
