Convex mirrors without tint

I just stuck this on my Bronco a couple weeks ago. I found it while doing some clean up in the shop. It is the lower mirror from an 11-16 Super Duty. It was about $15 on Amazon. Not perfect, but it is growing on me.

That's a big one! (Yes, that's what she said....) For $10 I got a much smaller one that does the job quite well...had a gal riding in my blind spot quite a while and could NOT see her no matter what. Yes, the orange light's on, but who pays attention to that? Couldn't adjust mirror to suit myself. So $10. Done.

It is attached with 4 small circles of double sided tape at the corners. It leaves a gap between the OEM mirror and the convex. This is just the mirror glass. I honestly just decided to try it because I had it leftover from an old truck. So far so good.

Yeah, just stopped into an O'Reilly's since it was handy....all the usual round ones in different sizes. I went with a small rectangular one that has an angle as well...sticks on, yes. A wee bit small, but traded that for not being too obtrusive.

That's what I did as well. Don't even notice it unless I want to. Works perfect (for me).
I think it was ~$8 for two.

Damn. You’re right. The grey is DARK. That’s unfortunate. Sticking with OEM.

I found these and bought two sets (one for my bronco and one for my wife's). Should be delivered in the next few days. I'll report back.

Let us know. From the pics they look like the same manufacturer as SUMA w/o the tint. Still more than I’d like to spend. Hopefully @Mabett can figure this out for less.

I got them the other day. Haven't installed them yet, but they are clearly tinted as they are definitely darker than the OEM mirrors. Will try them this weekend hopefully and see (or not see!).

Ugh. So, SUMA w/o the $35 logo. Great.

I don't understand the reluctance to make a convex mirror without tint. Clearly there is a need to upgrade the side mirrors, and there appears to be at least a bit of demand for them, but no one wants to make them.

Yes, unfortunately that seems to be the case. Took a quick picture while I still had both prior to sending them back. They were within 0.1 oz of each other on my postal scale too which is likely the margin of error on that scale's accuracy.

They looked identical to me at least.

Too bad you missed out on the special sale Stickerfab was running last month on non tinted convex mirrors with bliss, defroster and built-in turn signals. They said it was a limited edition run because the factory swtiched over to tinted less reflective mirrors and they only had 18 sets available. I snagged a set for $100 and really like them. I'm guessing they are Suma, no logo and they came in a generic box.

Dang, wish I had gotten in on this as sounds exactly like what I am looking for.

Anyone found an alternative more like the OG Suma Mirrors?

I bought their last set and they cmae broken. I was crushed :-(

There was another vendor just a few weeks ago on this site that released exactly what we need but after a bunch of us placed an order they went ahead and canceled them due to some manufacturing defect with no replacement. And still I wait.

SUMA just absolutely refuses to make one without tint, it's one of the most irrational decisions I've ever seen a company make tbh.

Sorry to hear they arrived damaged! That would be heartbreaking.

Yeah, I don't get it - there is clearly demand for a non-tinted version of the convex mirrors and Suma has such a good rep. Must be missing something or otherwise cost prohibitive, but whoever cracks the code on OEM look convex mirrors for Bronco going to make a killing!
