I couldn’t find much on this anywhere. Has any done or considered converting from a hard top to a soft top in the summer? Thoughts on how hard this is to do?

2 door or 4 door? I’ve had both. Much easier to do on a 2 door. The oem soft top is cumbersome at best. I do convert mine, but I use an electric ceiling hoist to raise and lower my soft top into place.I couldn’t find much on this anywhere. Same thing with factory soft top - 2 people to lift it off or on. The hard top is easier and lighter than the soft top… I’ve done the hard top solo (very carefully, or with a lift), but the soft top has a weird center of gravity and is very awkwardI can go between my Bestop soft-top and the Bronco hard top in about 45 min (after the initial assembly and installation of the soft-top -- as others have noted, that's about a 5hr ordeal). You'll need someone to help you lift the soft-top off and lift the rear part of the hard top on (so you don't scratch the vehicle). I have a four-door. There are videos on YouTube.
