How’s it going, quick question to all my pro installers out there:

I recently purchased the Hertz MPK 165.3 PRO component system and am curious, do I install and replace the front corner dash 4inch speakers with the tweeters or get a custom bracket for both?

I’ve seen both methods done and not sure which is best. Currently I have replaced all 3 front dash speakers with the JL c1’s so they’re not bad at all. My goal is to have the best sounding setup with what I’ve purchased and not sure which way to go, thanks!

Hi. 2 years ago my installer try to install JL C3's, with the tweeter mounted on the dash. He stated that it did not sounded good and used a 4in Coax from Memphis audio (on all 4 in locations). The tweeter was not used at all. At first I was skeptical, but when I picked the vehicle it sounded amazing. The separation from the 6.5 and tweeter was too much to make it sound good without DSP. I also asked for DSP, and they recommended not too, as the vehicle is a soft top. They specialize in boats and UTV/s. I never go above 10-12 on volume top up or down and to me it sounds great. My amp is a JL XD700.

Eventually I might upgrade the front 4in coax to something "better", but is a wants vs needs decision.
