Clevis I found

Just went to the local farm store and found this clevis. Most of the local farms go there for supplies they use everyday doing their chores.

They fit tight on my anchor points that are part of my Ford bumper by my winch mount. You can get them on part way, but will need a block of wood (so you don't mess up the finish) and a hammer to get them the rest of the way. you could also use a rubber mallet.

Actually it's a screw pin bow shackle, not a clevis.

I'll stay with Van Beest Green Pin, Crosby, CM (Columbus McKinnon), Chicago Hardware or similar. They sell for about twice that price, but I'm anal that way. I know their level of testing and they're certified for lifting.

I'm sure the one you found would be OK, after all farmers won't tolerate down time due to component failure. Farmers are also price sensitive. Far more than I am.

Grew up farming, called that a clevis (or a shackle) for 50+ years, just like how it's labeled. Then again, I still words like skil saw, sawzall, or kleenex generically as well.

Literally states Clevis on the tag, lol. The made in India would worry me more.

No reason to drive around with nipple rings on your Bronco.

Leave them off until you’re ready to leave the pavement. Less chance of issues with corrosion.
