Changing Physical Key on Bronco Door (Key fob & Bronco stolen, but we took it back)

There is a lock cylinder in the bottom of the center console that the emergency key is also used for……in case the battery in the key fob goes dead, the use of this key will allow the push button start to work

That key only locks the center console. It has nothing to do with the push button start. There is a notch in the very bottom of the console where you place the key fob. That will provide a signal for the push button start to work if the Key fob is dead. Unless there has been some design change since 2022.
