I forgot about that. I stacked three 3/8" washers under the front seat mounts and it made a huge difference.

First ever thread on Bronco6G, but a long time lurker. Picked up my Bronco Badlands with SAS about 3 weeks ago and loving it. Already took it on OHV trails twice now and the whole family has had a blast. I do have one minor issue, and couldn't find anything related doing a search.

I'm 6' 1" and find that I can't get real comfortable on longer drives because there's no way to rest my right leg while driving. Every other car i've driven I'm able to lean my leg against the center console so it's not in an upright, propped up position and it causes a lot less fatigue. Also, many cars have longer seat bottoms, or the ability to stretch-out, so to speak, the bottom cushion so that it provides better support for someone with longer legs. Not sure if I'm describing this well, but I can't imagine I'm the only one that does this and/or has this problem.

Anyway, in the Bronco I find that I have no way to rest my leg. If I pull the seat too far forward my knee cap hits the trim piece that sticks out around the air conditioning controls, which is super uncomfortable. If I move too far back I just have no where to lean my leg or rest it. I feel like a grab handle on the center console that's exactly like the one on the passenger side, but on the left (driver) side of the console would completely solve this problem.

Has anyone else encountered this issue and solved this problem?

There's all kind of car knee pads that adhere to the transmission tunnel on Amazon, they also have cushion extenders that might give you more thigh room.

My only complaint is my Mabbett center console saddlebags, which are great, until you want to lean your leg over more...

That's funny, I was going to ask if you had the mabbett saddle bags, it does intrude on right leg room.... I use cruise control all the time, in town, rain, interstate, and sometimes, trail cruise control.
Do you ever accidentally change the temperature with your knee? I do.

I know exactly how you feel. Where I rest my leg, it digs in like a nuisance. What's worse is that the they mounted the controller for my towing brake there as well, instead of more in the center, so my knee/shin hit that if I'm too far forward. Kinda aggravating.

I was just going to suggest velcroing a sissy bar back pad to the console, but a ready made solution would work even better I'm sure.

I think you may be referring to leg splay, e.g. when you sit in the seat, your knee stays more in line with your hip, meaning it's uncomfortable to lean your knee over and against the console.

I'm 6' 3" and it's very comfortable for me, but I sit something like Buddha... I'll also mention the triangle shaped part of the seat is a crank. If this is something you were unaware of, it may help; they had mine cranked full height. I put it about 3/4's of the way down.

I'd suggest getting some velcro from Walmart or something, and a sponge with a cover or whatever. Something light you can put between your knee and the console and affix with the velcro. This is probably what I would try first, if I could find a suitable sponge or squishy rectangle you can put velcro on.

I knew someone would say this. Yes, but because of my height and long legs, I find that my leg strains as I keep it in this very upright position. Maybe I'm a huge wuss and the only one with this issue. Time will tell.

I feel you. I've wondered the same thing. The thing I cannot stand is riding on the passenger side, you have no place to put your right arm while a long trip. That's my biggest issue.

Thanks for the advice. Funny you mention the seat height as when I took delivery the seat was cranked to the highest position. My head was nearly at the roof. Cranked it all the way down, but maybe I should try going up a bit more.

The trick is to be torso tall. I'm 6 foot, wear a 30 inseam, and have no issue

I think you're allowed to share the console arm rest with the driver.

I know there's a few models of cars out there that have the inner arm rest integrated on the seat instead of a console - and only on the driver seat. Real nice for passengers huh?

The only problem is, that it is hard to place your right arm on the center arm rest. I know some people have 2 left feet, but most people only have 1 left arm... . I hate the space between your right hip and the passanger door arm rest. I usually bring a small pillow to use as an arm rest for long trips. It just doesn't rest comfortably on the right door arm rest... But the driver side is spaced perfectly.

I've never sat in the passenger seat but I'm not seeing how the seat/arm rest relationship would be any different than the driver's left arm?

It surprised me, i wasnt expecting it. It has no lumbar support either. Sit in it for a minute and check it out. I want to know if it's just me...
