I know this is a pretty old thread but is this the only way to remove the front crash bars? Is there no way to just loosen the bumper enough to slide them out? I can't seem to locate where to loosen the bumper bolts. I'll admit, it looks good without the trim but I was hoping for a simpler solution to remove the bars, I also parking sensors and I see in the pictures this one does not so not sure how that changes things

Thanks in advance!

It’s possible, follow the instructions on this video. It was incredibly easy. Use a flathead screwdriver to pop open the plastic trim around the D-rings, remove two of the bolts and loosen the other bolt per side, and scoot the bumper out just enough to clear the front crash bar (should be about 2 inches). I have a lift now but prior to, I ran 35’s on Sasquatch wheels on the stock non Sasquatch suspension.

The bumper bolts are behind the plastic covers (around the shackle), they pop right off, then there are 6 bolts to loosen.

Thanks again, once I understood the assignment it took 10 minutes. Should have posted an hour ago before removing the skid plate.
