Camphaser rattle?

My 2023 bronco developed a rattle when starting. The dealership says it is normal turbocharger sounds, but I thought it sounded a lot like the camphaser rattles I’ve seen here. I’ve never owned a turbocharged vehicle before, so I don’t know if this is a normal sound. I’d like to see what everyone here thinks. Is this normal?

Thanks, that’s what I was thinking. I have an appointment with a different dealership next week. I hope they’ll actually diagnose it.

Absolutely your VTC phasers. Just had my motor pulled and phasers replaced last week. My bronco sounded like that since December but I had a hard time getting the work scheduled. Call around to some other dealership service departments and share that video with them. My first dealer said that my description of the problem was “normal for a cold winter start”. The second dealer knew what it was right away and were very knowledgeable about cam phaser jobs. It just took forever for the parts to arrive.
