Howdy all. I have a Ford cab cover to use when my hard top and doors are off (most of the summer). After the last few big rain storms water pooled on the cover. I pulled off my cover this morning and a lot of water pooled on it.

So has anyone made a small prop rod to sit maybe on the center arm rest, and go up under the cover so the water doesn't pool?

I am looking for some ideas so lets pictures if you got em.

Thanks
Mike

Could also park on an incline so the water runs off of it on its own.

Put a ball on the roll bar and stretch the cover over it.
I looked at this idea but I have a two door, so I don't think to will work out so well.

Thanks

My driveway has a slight incline to it, just not enough.

Could throw down some pieces of wood or something to make it a bit steeper of an incline. But the pole option noted above is probably the most efficient route to go.

Isn't that rod basically just an adjustable shower curtain rod?

Yes it is.

I have a garage, but my 1968 Mustang sits in it, and my wife's truck sits on the other side.

Don't want a soft top, it would be just another thing to try and store.

I was thinking about heading over to Lowes and getting 1/2 PVC pipe long enough to make a bow between the hard top latch points. I am going to notch each end to sit in the hole in the plate. Make it about an inch or so longer so it bows up.

Thanks
Mike

A pool cover pillow should work. Comes in many sizes and you can adjust the air accordingly…and easily store it when not in use.

My wife suggested a pool float. We use to use truck inner tubes to hold the cover on our pool. I will look at these also.
