Bumper Swap Calibration?

I’m going to have to swap my front bumper due to a minor dust-up with a Mustang. (It was a 6-cylinder I’m not a monster) how important is it that I have the ACC and parking sensors recalibrated? I swapped my OE plastic bumper for a Capable a while back and just swapped over the sensors in new bezels and it was fine. This time I’d rather go with an aftermarket bumper and that will require the ACC move.

Anyone run into any issues here? I’d rather do the swap myself and save some of that insurance money for a nicer bumper (or maybe a matching rear). But if I have to recalibrate everything am I better off just having the shop restore me to OE capable and move my bull bar and Rigid lightbar over?

If the parking sensors are not damaged it is just a strait swap. How they perform in the new bumper is entirely up to how it is designed and the angle the sensors are at as it will be different between all after market bumpers. I did the turn Offroad acc relocation on mine and so far so good. No calibrations required. What you may have to do is play around with where it is pointing. Generally it should point directly strait out forward. So slight tweaks on the angle it is sitting may be necessary.
