Just for the record, transparent aluminum is a real thing (not just Star Trek), and has been for years: https://makezine.com/2012/01/17/transparent-aluminum/No need to look at unobtanium when there's plexiglass. Gives a nice fisheye effect to the trail cam, in addition to other people being able to read what kind of car you're driving.
Probably lighter, also, and allow 4-door folks to magically add PPF or actual headliner
Called stingers, I won't be getting one but they have their place.I've seen off-roading rigs with large front-mounted bars that are meant to prevent forward roll-overs. Since this is called a "brush guard", I'm sure this won't work for this purpose.
Does anyone know what these more capable front-mounted devices are called, and if they plan on getting one for their Bronco?
At a guess, it uses the space intended for a winch, so either one or the other. Probably had different shaped ones, shamrock for Saint Patrick's Day, heart for Valentine's day, reindeer head for Christmas, and so on.
Au contraire...a deer bounced right off my son's Jeep equipped with a big tube bumper and brush guard. It would have to be a perfectly-centered strike on a deer or whatever for this style of brush bar to help. Usually folks hit deer on one of the corners, damaging headlights and body panels.
My future sister in law got me a bag of marshmallows like this for Xmas.
