So I've had my Bronco for 2 years, 37,000 miles, no modifications, and only offroading 1x in the snow. In the last week or so, I've started hearing a weird suspension noise coming from near my front left tire. It is only when I am going 0-10 MPH. I've never owned an offroad vehicle before so not sure if this is normal or not. Am I about to lose a tire/axel?

Do you have the sasquatch package? One of the shocks may have given up so check for any leaks or drips on or around the shock

Can you describe the noise? I might have an idea.

That's exactly what I'm hearing too. Same area and everything.

Going straight or when turning at slow speeds? What does the noise sound like?

Both? It's like a clunky thud noise

Have you had any luck finding out exactly what it is?

I had the same thing I think. I do have Icon lift kit, but it was like a creeking grinding noise from drivers front tire. I tore it all apart this weekend and checked to make sure brakes were good and everything was tourqued. All looked good. I sprayed lube on the upper shock bolt area where the strut is bolted on. The Icons have heim joints there so not sure if it is the same, but ALL of the noise went away. I did the rear lowers as well since I was in there. The noise definitely did not sound like what the solution was. I also thought we lost an axle or brake issue. Ours is a 2022 Badlands SAS.

Hmmm...

Noises I've identified so far on mine:

Sway bar links when turning at slow speeds. Walker links were installed so that noise is gone.

Skid plates - I'm pretty sure that a clicking noise I get when braking and turning at slow speeds is my aluminum skid plates moving just a little making some noise. Going to look into ways to maybe quiet this down.

Identified and fixed my issue. Loosened up my skid plates and put some weather stripping in the gap here. The two plates were making contact when I hit bumps or the frame flexed. Noise gone now.

Thank you! I am going to take a look next time I get my oil change, hoping that is just the cause!
