Thanks, that helps a ton. Mine will be a little more complicated since I have the WeBoost antenna wiring to deal with and molle panels on both sides of the cargo area. No biggie, I can't stand the loud creaking that the hinges are making now after this weekend. I know it won't fix itself.
Let me know if we can help with anything else!

As someone who has creaking from the cargo area, it very well could be the weatherstripping. Mine started after I used "Gummi Pflege Stift" rubber conditioner. It made the seals crazy grabby and made SO MUCH noise afterwards. I had to lubricate them with various silicone lubricants for a while until it finally went away.

Sometimes it would sound like mice and other times a creak. Give that a shot and go from there.

I agree to at least give the seals around the tailgate a shot of good lubricant . I used this in late '23 , which is approved by Ford and all my creaks and squeaks stopped and haven't been back. The tailgate sounded just like metal on metal but ended up being the weatherstripping where it meets the rear window. It's expensive but I only used 1/4 of the tube for my tailgate and all the Mic top seals.
