I wouldn't call them a menace to society by any means, but there are a LOT of fake Shelby's, Cobra's, Civic Type R's, ZR'1 Camaro's, Hellcats, Yenkos, etc. out there. Way more than you realize. Maybe some are even built up and faster/better in some respects. Many times though the badges are all they swap and fool the novice. Now if you wanna build a clone with the look, cool. IMO, leave the badges off though if it's not the real deal.

Where it infuriates me is at car shows where they register it as the upbadged vehicle. Then when they win something and they announce the winners and the judges say "The 1968 Shelby GT500 wins" when it is a clone. Nothing wrong with it just being the "1968 Ford Mustang GT fastback".

This is a button for me though, not looking to have an argument. Stepping down off of my soap box.
I had a roommate one time that had an orange Mustang GT.

Turns it, it was a V6. He had crazy exhaust on it, the GT wheels, he even replaced the whole front clip bc a GT grille wouldn't fit otherwise.

It had GT seats and all the stickers /badging.

His license plate on it was 'MY GT'

When he got busted he tried to deny it for a while, but he got bagged mercilessly.

One of the best roasts was at poker night, my buddy's gf told him 'I'll race you for $500' he told her there's no way you'd beat me in your Tiburon!

she replied 'why not, they both have a V6, it would be an even race'

He moved out and to another town shortly after he got busted with his fake GT bc he got so much shit over it.

Way to many guy's upbadging to the Base, by removing their badges, they're ashamed of.
I love my base and picked it because that’s the one I wanted.

Base is the best! That black hole left in the front isn't though. Definitely needs color. Look at that hole> 'Base Model Bronco Thread' https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/base-model-bronco-thread.1828/post-1461642

Base is a blank slate to do anything you want with it

it's the same vehicle just different trims. What, other people can change the color of their grill letters but base people can't or they are embarrassed? Nah. The base is closest to my 88 "Custom", wouldn't have it any other way.

Is it still upbadging if i put bronco II badges on my bronco?

Exactly! I'm working on it a little at a time to get it exactly how I want it. Yours looks great and definitely slap that Bronco II badge wherever you want!

Misbadging is usually frowned upon in car communities. From cobra badges on Gts, to DOOD raptor grills. But at the end of the day its your vehicle, do what you want. If it makes you happy do it.
