Strangest sight was a Camry driver actually paying attention! 😉

The Bronco driver is an idiot. Running a red light 7 seconds after it has changed, is guaranteeing you are in an accident. Very lucky that he did not t-bone the silver car as injuries to that driver would have been severe.
I hope he got slapped with some heaving driving penalties...

I remember one time way back in th' day (say, '97?) I was driving back to my dorm after getting some Taco Bell and stopped at TX 380 and Malone in Denton. It was dusk but still plenty of light out. Nice late afternoon.

I pulled up to turn right on Malone in my '86 Dodge Ram Charger, and stopped briefly to make sure the order was right (ok, to grab a taco on the way home ). As I went to roll/turn without looking on a red, I hear someone laying on a horn.

I look up and see the light turned green. The turn lanes then were red on right when green on the other side. This VW Bug, however, was hellbound for leather charging straight to the light, like 40mph. They couldn't have stopped if they wanted to.

I stop short about a third the way into the turn and watch the bug go through their red light, pull up slightly on two wheels making the turn, miss me by a couple feet and speed off. I look over and the person who honked gestured angrily at me, shrugged and pulled away. It was like being in a cartoon.

Pretty sure I missed that bullet. I think it was a Camry who honked, but it's been too long to be sure.

Poor innocent cars - stupid shit head red light runners deserve to pay for EVERYTHING.
Props to the white car at 11 seconds hitting their brakes. They looked both ways before crossing.
Too bad NO ONE ELSE DID.
Silver car had ZERO clue what just happened, didn't even try to hit the brakes. Front end doesn't drop at all. Just slammed right into the side of the Bronco.
I don't think the cammer tried to stop until after they hit the Bronco as well... what the actual hell?
Too bad that silver car was likely launched into the white car.

Based on shadowing sun was behind them so maybe it drowned out the light. Doubtful, since everyone else seemed to have gotten the memo that it was red.

The driver in the white car had a clear advantage.

The driver in the white car was turning (and probably looking) left in a left turn lane (on a one-way thoroughfare) and had a totally clear view of the Bronco as it approached from the left.

Unfortunately, the driver in the silver 4dr sedan in the middle lane could not see the Bronco approaching until he/she had pulled somewhat in front of the white car in the left lane. At that point he/she was in the middle of the intersection---too late. The driver with the dash cam in the right turn lane had its view of the Bronco approaching blocked by both the white car and the silver 4dr sedan.

In my opinion, even if the drivers of the silver and dash cam vehicles had been looking hard left, they would have needed near Terminator reflexes and huge, oversized Brembos to stop in time. I also get the impression the dash cam may be mounted higher and forward of the driver, possibly in front of or next to the rear view mirror. The actual view by the driver would be lower, and more limited---especially to the left.

You have one of these 🤣
Take your top and doors off this summer and shine up your wheels/tires - hit the mall for a couple hours, and then head out to the trails for a proper sunset. 😉😎

Edit - I just read your bio saying you're out of the country for a while - safe travels!
