Bronco price increased again!

i'm waiting to hear back from my dealership on this(my sales guy is the owner/son of owner). My build date was 2 weeks ago but it got pushed to April. I'm gonna be a little pissed if suddenly my order goes up $2k+ because they pushed it 1.5 months. I've had a VIN since December. I will probably still buy BUT i won't be buying any of the accessories i was planning to get from them.

Not far off I guess. I ordered a mid package Badlands at the suggestion of the dealer DEC 4,2021. I decided against not ordering what I wanted so I called dealer to add Squatch and lux package about a week and a half ago and this of course changed our original purchase agreement so I went to the dealership this weekend to get a new one and they gave me an updated copy which showed changes. I also found out I had received a VIN in that time and a production date 4/4/22. Surprised ....very surprised

Hmmm. Based on your information, if my dealer has the same magic, I might get a VIN in about 5 more weeks or so since I placed my order on January 18th. Then hopefully get built and delivered around June or July.

I hope so! The manager showed me a list of over 200 orders who were placed before mine. He was baffled that mine was chosen for build.. God speed! and good luck!

Dealer allocation or markets might be a factor. Everyone, even manufacturers, have favorites.

My 2 door BB build went up $1500. I'm in a weird area where I have a VIN (and no build date on the tracker, but I called my dealer yesterday and learned it was week of 4/4) but still no sticker available online. I'm gonna be pissed if this wipes out basically half of my A-Plan savings.

Good question. after I get over the depression, I'll probably start looking at jeeps, or just give up on the top off idea and get a 4 runner or defender, or who knows maybe just get a roxor for off-road only. Would def not be a ford though.

I could have accepted around $500. But $2000 is a high price increase. That can be a tap out level increase. Thank the stars I bought 3 vehicles prior to COVID era madness, including my Jeep TJ.

Maybe consider a used TJ/JK for summer top down off-road fun, instead of increasingly higher priced MIA Bronco.

All the Ford reps advised us to get a price agreement from our dealers when we placed our orders... So does that mean they are no longer valid and the dealerships can change us an ADM, or are the dealerships screwed since we have signed agreements to sell to us at a fixed price?

The annual inflation rate on new vehicles averaged 12.2% from January 2021-January 2022, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Would not be surprising if that number increased in the next release of the data. I think Ford has managed to keep its Bronco increases a little under the industry average over that timeframe, which is surprising and somewhat commendable given the severe shortage of Broncos that has many of us still waiting.

The price protection they've granted many of us has been worth a bundle, too. I don't think they were expecting to be eating this level of inflation.

We have to adjust our way of thinking to the reality of what is happening to our economy. It's way bigger than Ford and way bigger than the auto industry. Anyone 45 years old or younger has no memory of high inflation. It sucks that the Bronco price is getting jacked, but inevitable.
