I've been playing around with a design and am just trying to get an idea of how much of a demand there actually is. I know there is the one solution on the market that mounts to a high winch mount. What about a solution that would work all by itself, or along with other bumper accessories? Looking at the Capable and Modular bumpers for this. I know there are a metric ton of hitch mounted accessories available, and not looking to jump into that space, just a solution to mount it in the front of your Bronco. Probably looking at 350-400 lbs weight rating (at 16-18" from receiver).

PS: Not looking for criticism on the well used cargo basket :ROFLMAO:

From my experience with other vehicles, front hitches are talked about exponentially more than they are ever installed.

I have one on my LWN, and while there are endless threads and posts about them, I'm only aware of maybe 5 other installs in the 10 years I've been active on that forum.

If it's something you can jig up quick and push out on demand, it's always nice for more options on the market. I'd be surprised if it moved in significant numbers though.

Same experience. I wanted one for my FJ Cruiser. Found one but in the end wasn't worth paying for.

I would be really interested to see a fab up receiver that would mount on the Maximus-3 removable winch mount. Winch for the mountains, cargo basket for the beach!

I have the capable bumper without a winch and would consider something like that. The smaller 1-1/4" reciever may be easier to fit, not as obvious, and likely enough for most purposes. Except perhaps as a strong winch mount.

I have a trailer that I occasionally put in my garage with less than a quarter inch clearance on each side. That's with the door seals folded back by the fenders and it takes me forever! 😀

I've had a front hitch on vehicles in the past and found them useful. I have plenty of experience backing trailers, but the ease of precise placement and visibility with a front mount is nice.

That's one reason a removable front hitch might be useful for me.

I've been looking for 2" front mount receiver. Have one on the '76 Bronco. Use it to move light trailers around the yard. Also used bikes, keeps the access to the back.

Where is your front basket from? That's a nice layout!
Anglers aluminum surf mate. @X-Rack is coming out with a new on soon. I'll probably switch out to theirs. They make awesome quality stuff.

This is the one accessory I want, but I have the plastic base bumper and don't think anything will work unless I swap it out, which I'm willing to do.
