I have a 21' Big Bend Sasquatch 2.7L with ~27k miles.
About 6 months ago, I went to start my Bronco and it was dead. Dead dead. Wouldn't even light up the dash. I hadn't driven it for maybe 2 weeks at that point. I jumped it with my Ram 3500 and even after it had been running for about 10 minutes, went to drive away and it died again. Completely dead, wouldn't light up the dash. I pulled the battery and went to O'reilly down the road and got a new battery, haven't had an issue since.
Two days ago I opened the door to grab something, and my rockslide steps didn't deploy. So I went around to the driver side to start it, and nothing. No lights, nothing AT ALL. It has had a 4 amp battery charger on it for 2 days now and still no lights even light up. I called my local Ford dealer and the gal said there aren't any recalls open for that issue but they can try to figure it out. One problem, unless I go and get a new battery (again) I can't move this thing! And I'm not paying the high rates so they can try and figure it out for who knows how long. I have unhooked the battery completely and put it on the 4A charger again but there has to be a root cause here. Help? Please?
