Headed to the dealer this week for my first oil change. Got 1250 on the odometer. Going with synthetic blend until 5000 miles then making the switch to fully synthetic from there on out.

Curious - are any of you running super unloaded (90+ octane) or just regular 87 gas?

I run regular 87. Have a company gas card.

Signed, sealed, and delivered yesterday morning! I've seen some negative comments/posts, but for this guy from Los Angeles, Tomball and Jorge have been rock solid with no issues since day #1 - much better than some of my local Porsche and my F-car dealer(s)!

600+ miles yesterday and today.
Trying to find the right driver seat position, figure out what is wind noise vs. high-wind noise vs. regular noise vs. etc. noise. Almost ran out of gas between tank #2 and tank #3

@PapaSmurf - Windows do drop and raise with lock from remote and even from inside the car with the door handles.

Raining here tonight in Marfa, TX, so I checked for leaks - all good and dry

Another ~900 miles to go over the next couple days - wish us well!

Questions:
1. Front passenger corner of the hood near the "tire sight/limb riser tie-down point" undulates at speeds over 70mph. I checked under the hood and see nothing unusual. Driver-side front corner does not do this. Anyone have the same experience and/or thoughts?

2. Can someone confirm the side-view mirror "ditch lights" only come on in certain "off road" modes? I've been trying to manually turn them on with the buttons low-left of the steering wheel column to test, when parked and driving, but they won't come one. Offroad camera mode/lighting options they do work. ???

Curious - for those with hard tops do you take the top off yourself or did you purchase a hoist? Make one yourself? I’ve seen some DIY hoists on the forum. I’m not that mechanically inclined or have the time. If you bought a hoist which one? Or if doing yourself did you rig anything up to help?

I remove the hardtop by myself and set it down on plastic saw horses. Unless you have noodle arms, it's not difficult

Mine sat for 2 weeks. Sadly, you and @CarGuy59 are in the same position where only a regional rep at the request of the Dealer Inventory Manager can do any good/damage. I’ll be honest, work and life have beat me up pretty good lately so I haven’t followed if the trucks have stopped along with the plant. Locally, I see Ford vehicles still being hauled away from the rail yard, but it has been some time since I’ve noticed a Bronco roll through.

Anyone know who I can contact at Ford to light a fire under whoever these ‘Ford Engineering’ folks are that cannot seem to program the new gateway module the dealer had to put in my bronco? They have had the truck for 2 weeks and Ford can’t seem to figure it out.

Is there a regional person or some number at ford I can contact? This is beyond ridiculous it’s taking this long.

On a positive note I’m sitting on the runway in Salt Lake City ready to fly home after attending Offroadeo in Moab. FANTASTIC experience. Worth every penny. What a really awesome day in stunning country. I recommend everyone go if they can!!!!

It’s true. They make sure you know that up front and tell you how to be one with nature if you have to go. A few folks headed to the bushes at lunch but for me I was so caught up in the whole ‘bring offroad’ I didn’t even think about it.

If bathroom breaks are a huge deal then just know there are no port-a- potties or restrooms. This is all on jeep trails rolling through the sticks. Pretend your off grid camping and bring what you would need there for bathroom breaks.

Every lot is different, but since the VID changed the world, most lots will not allow for direct pick up. Mine would not (I tried with 2 different dealers on 3 different vehicles). I wish you the best of luck in getting it home.
