Bronco Badlands - Front grill color code

Hello everyone, I have a question and hope someone can help me find an answer—or maybe someone has had a similar experience.

My Bronco Badlands, MY 2024, has the standard gray front grille. Unfortunately, I managed to get a few scratches on the front left section, around the main headlight—see photo. For the repair, I used a "touch-up pen" in the Gray Carbonized shade. However, as you can see, the color of the Bronco grille is different.

My Ford dealer informed me that they cannot find the specific color code for the Bronco Badlands front grille in their system. Does anyone know the exact color code for my grille?

Try taking it to an auto body shop near you and see if they can match it. I'm not sure the grille has it's own paint code???

Started as a performance Honda Civics' badge, now stolen by Ford...... Perhaps the Civic wasn't the first to use it.

Are you sure you got the right color paint pen? That looks more like iconic silver. The Badlands grill should be carb gray, as far as I remember hearing. The optional bead lock capable wheel trim rings that were available only on the Badlands are labeled as such.

Photo of a carb gray Badlands for comparison sake. I think the only difference is that it is not as glossy/the finish is different so there are some differences in lighting but looks like nearly the same shade? It might just be some standard gray color though.

I used a color pen (original Ford) with the color code "M7458 Carbonized Gray." It was a test and it really looks more silver than gray. Moreover, it’s the same color my wife has on her Ford Explorer, and it appears different on the car’s metal body compared to the plastic front grille of my Bronco.

The best option might be to visit a paint dealer and try to find the closest matching gray from a color swatch.
Another option is to remove the grille entirely and have it professionally painted—maybe matte black, which could create a nice contrast with the glossy black on my Bronco’s body. However, that does seem like the more expensive choice.

I’m surprised that Ford doesn’t have a solution for this situation and that no one else has encountered this issue before. Maybe this is an opportunity to customize the front grille on my Bronco!
