Hi y'all,

I've tried doing my reading but I see a lot of different options and sometimes conflicting feedback on different suggestions too. Going with collars, going with springs, offset, no offset, etc. Hope no one minds if I ask a question that's probably been asked but I wanted some feedback about combining a few of the ideas that I have seen. I called Foutz motorsports and they did not recommend combining the Hyperco springs with perch collars. I was wondering if doing both would work or not?

So I am wanting to lift my Braptor to fit either 39s or possibly 40s. I live in South Carolina so I'm not going dune Baja running or anything. Mostly a bit of rock crawl and or mud crawling around here. This is my daily driver, so I'm already not entirely a practical person but I would like to keep the ride quality that the Braptor has if that's possible.

When I read about the fitment, to me it seems like it falls into these categories. (I want option 3 if that's possible lol)
1) Cheap and might break something sooner than later and/or affect ride
2) You can fit those tires, but only if you are a street princess b/c if you flex you are going to be ripping parts of the truck off
3) I can fit 39s - 40s, flex, and I'm not a millionaire
4) I am a millionaire so I spent $25k putting portal axles on (as I am not this, no can do :ROFLMAO:)

Thoughts?
Hyperco 2" front 1" rear springs.
https://www.foutzmotorsports.com/pr...r-2-inch-front-rear-lift-coil-springs-hyperco
Eibach 2.6" front 1.1"rear
https://eibach.com/product/E30-35-063-02-22?epsid=3433

Perch collars 2.5" front and rear. This is what Foutz recommended on the phone to me just now and using stock springs. But I've also heard some not good things about collars in general and especially if you preload too much onto it?

Offset
I have read that I should do either 0 or maybe +18 offset. And the stock rims are +34 and to stay away from going below 0 offset.

Front crash bars - need removed I think?

Thanks,

I went 38s and did the Eibach kit. Rides great but the rear springs are really soft and any weight in the rear makes it sag and sit lower than the front. I’m debating on perch collars with the Eibach springs in the rear just to bring it back up a little bit for when I’m fully loaded. My wheels are +6 offset and they sit perfect with no rubbing whatsoever.

Hyperco 2”/1” springs, 38x13.5, Falken R/T01, +6 rims. Sits level, clearances are good on road and when flexed,, ride is still good, but not as plush as stock tires and springs. Gas mileage and acceleration are down a bit. im happy with the mods, but there’s no free lunch going with bigger tires.

Tires/lift look great but mileage is a priority these days. I love the fenders and the body armor...may I ask where you purchased them, presuming they are aftermarket upgrades?

If mpg is a priority avoid 37 or 38” tires. Fenders and flares are stock on Raptor.

not sure about body armor, but I have RCI Sliders, Foutz rear arm, shock mount and diff skids

Thanks for the insight...I've been driving to Tahoe weekly from the Bay Area for the last several months to care for an elderly parent. I will wear through my current tires soon enough but beyond grateful I can be there for my parents. I will call Ford to see if the fenders/flares are an option. Not a fan of the stock option on my BB.

Nope…those flares will cost you the price of a Bronco Raptor. They will not fit other models. Unless you buy the entire fender for front and rear I guess. But Ford sells the flares at Ford Performance.

technically the fenders and flares should bolt on to your Bronco, but im not sure if there wouldn’t be a conflict with some other body part. It’s going to be crazy expensive to buy them and other relevant parts. Maybe Sasquatch flares would fit. There also are some aftermarket fenders that might be a better option. Plus most folks don’t love the look of the Braptor flares. Good luck finding what you want!

Might even need to buy the Raptor tail lights to fit the fenders as well.

Thank you everyone for your feedback. I will search the forum for other suggestions for fenders/flares that are compatible with the BB

I run Foutz collars, true 37s, 1/2" body lift, 0 offset 17x9 12.50s. This can run 38/39s with no issues you can also increase the collar sizes.

I haven’t installed yet on mine, but I will be going with the hyperco 2”/1” springs. I’ll probably be installing in the upcoming weeks. What FMI told you is correct. DO NOT do an aftermarket spring with a perch collar, it is either or. As far as springs go, you have 3 options; eibach, hyperco, and geiser. Geiser is a progressive spring all the way around, which i don’t know how I feel about. If ford wanted a progressive spring on the front shocks they would have designed the shock with it from the get go. I’ve also heard that if you go with a spring or perch collar, you don’t want to lift it more than 2” inches. That’s really the reason I went with the springs I did, granted eibach and geiser still weren’t out yet when I got mine, but if I had to pick today, I’d still do the hypercos. Another option is a top hat that adds lift. I believe Foutz now makes a top hat that add about 1.5” of lift to the front. That’s a great option too. If you’re going to do the springs, please be aware that the oem top hat is a known failure point as it is a 2 piece cast construction from what I have read. Foutz and RPG now offer billet top hats to remedy this issue, which might be worth upgrading while the shock is out.

I’m running a 39” bfg km3 and it does not rub with the oem suspension and ride height. Maybe it’s because I’m running a -12 offset, but I believe you’ll have the clearance with a 0 offset. I haven’t gone off-road yet, which I’m sure will run, but that’s why I’m staying on road until I do.

What body lift do you have? Or is that from the Foutz collars?

Awesome answer, thank you. I had heard things against running under 0 offset.

So what would you and everyone else think about combining the top hat upgrade / lift and then coils too?
