I have the DV8 in floor cargo box installed, originally for the additional room. The right size housed my 6 ton bottle jack and accessories and tire repair kit, while the left side had all of my tools in their pouches.
I haven't had a need to use the bottle jack, so all of the parts were still wrapped in their OEM bubble wrap.
I recently needed to clear out that storage box to accommodate the install of a air compressor, and found that the jack had been leaking. According to Safe Jack, storing on its side like I had it is a non issue and it shouldn't have leaked.
But, before I pack it back up to put back in the vehicle after bleeding/servicing/validating it does the job it's supposed to - I'm looking for options for what else I could put it in to both keep it protected and if it leaks again, from getting hydraulic fluid on adjacent gear/surfaces. Is anyone aware of a padded water proof sleeve or bag I can put it in? I don't want a hard case since I jinga its accessories around it in that storage area.
Thanks!
