Blue Ox 12 Volt Power Outlet Not Working?

I flat tow my 2023 Bronco Badlands with zero problems over 10,000 miles. I now have a problem with the 12 volt receptacle that was installed under my dash to power my Patriot Braking System. It appears to no longer have power, and my assumption is a fuse somewhere? I traced the wiring and the only thing I can find is pictured. I circled what I assume is some type of fuse? Forgive my lack of any mechanical ability, but is that a fuse? Is the actual fuse hidden in it? Any guidance and help would be appreciated! Thank you!

That is a circuit breaker. If it gets to hot it trips off till it cools down, then turns on again. If you have a light or meter you can test each terminal to ground. If no voltage on the side with the 2 wires it could be bad. If you have voltage on both sides problem is further down the line. Next thing I would check is voltage at the receptacle. Is it a cigarette lighter type plug? Sometimes the center contact gets bent down too far and won't make contact with the male end of plug. I have even seen fuses in the male plug on some things.

When I added my similar outlet for running the brake, I used a fuse extender and tapped in to a lightly used always live unswitched circuit in the fuse box. If you look in the manual for accessing the interior fusebox under the steering wheel, and the installer did something similar, you should find a fairly obvious dual fuse thing sticking out of one of the normal fuses with 2 fuses in it (one of which is to the 12V outlet).

Sometimes the 12V outlets or plugs have fuses built in to them as well like Duane said above. Assuming it is a blown fuse, you'll then have to figure out what blew it (hope it's not a Patriot brake issue).

The thing you highlighted is a self resetting breaker. I too put one of these in for the line between my RV battery and the Bronco battery to keep it charged. It's a good idea to have as the Patriot brake draws around 2A and you don't want to draw down the battery when towing with the Bronco off. You can convince yourself that it's there by measuring the Bronco battery voltage with everything off, then hook up to the RV with your connecting cord, start the RV, and measure the Bronco battery voltage again. On mine, it usually measures around 0.2V higher indicating the RV is charging the Bronco battery while the Bronco is off.
