I followed the removal instructions on this video using two plastic gift cards and it came off surprisingly easy. I did paint my original one and put it back on.

Is that carbonized gray? Do you have a link to the paint?

It is. I had an aerosol can mixed up at my local NAPA paint shop. I think it was about $20.

Trim removal tools are key on this mod as you have to get those clips to disengage or risk breaking off the stems. Put painters tape around the emblem and work really slowly and carefully. I got mine off smoothly enough that it could be reused and no clips got broken off.

Hi everyone. New here. Just picked a SAS Big Bend on Friday. Looking to change out the blue oval on the gate for a black oval from Ford. Unless I'm mistaken (definitely a possibility), Ford doesn't offer a black oval for the Bronco, but does for the ranger, maverick, etc. Will any of those fit the bronco?

I went with the "overlay" on ETSY. ~$25 for two. Fits perfect and even up close you can't tell it's not original. Plus there's ~50 color combo options available. I went with the Matte Black background and Gloss Gray text. Looks awesome on my Carbon Gray SAS.

yup, my clips broke off when removing it and feel into tail gate, so now I have a small rattle when I close the door . not sure how to get them out

I used trim removal tools and the credit card style plastic wedges from the video and had the same thing happen to mine. Did you ever get the rattle resolved? Theres a oval gasket under the tailgate but i couldnt get the plastic to come out there.

ill have to try that out, it still rattles but only when closing the rear door

Messed up the first one when I took it apart so order another one from local dealer and it turned out great except a little split between the “F” and the “o” but you can’t see it at all.

Did you open up the access panel inside the tailgate?

Yup, that is the one I got. The original is a bitch to get off, but since you aren't reusing it, then you can be a bit more aggressive with the removal.

Are there pins or just tape like the bronco badge?

Did you go with one of the tint options? I ordered one with their script side badges
