I love this quote: “Opinion is the medium between knowledge and ignorance"... so I am seeking that middle ground of kinda stupid, kinda smart😂

I am interested in opinions -- what would you do for the following:

I can get a '23 Wildtrak equipped pretty close to what I want, about 700miles from me, selling at MSRP with fair doc fees, or the alternative, which I had been planning on, is to get my '24 order in on Monday with a local dealer, ordering exactly what I want for about the same price including the Heavy-Duty bumper that's std. I'm OK waiting for the '24, but hate the idea of not having the order fulfilled.
What would you all do???

If the available WT is not exactly what you want and you don't mind waiting, then wait. The Bronco is to large of a purchase for the gotta-have-it-now and settle-for-what-is-available mentality.

When you say "pretty close" what is it missing? If it's your second color choice or something minor, that you won't miss, then go for it, a "bird in hand" and "life is short" enjoy it now, and... But if it's missing something that it's better to get from the factory and/or one of your "hot buttons" then why compromise?

I guess the question is how close to your build is it?

Not ever wrong to wait for what you want… that being said, I did buy one because I didn’t want to wait and have had a blast upgrading it with aftermarket. So if you aren’t one to modify too much, get what you want. If you know you are going to put your own touch on it, then get the one now and let the fun begin.

You'll get your '24 before I got my '21. Order what you want if your dealer has the allocation for next year and you're in a good spot in line.

Who knows the future, with a looming strike anything in stock now will probably get ADM boosted again and we'll repeat the cycle of inflation and interest increases so maybe the bird in the hand isn't a bad thing either.

There's a wide discrepancy in the word, "close".

Close only really counts with horseshoes, hand grenades and artillery rounds.

Then there's close enough to make it work vs close enough for government work.
