Advanced 4x4 has different gearing in Low Gear. Advanced 4x4 = 3.06, shift on fly 4x4 = 2.72.

Yes okay, I see where we are diverging. You’re talking low speed/crawling/4-low situations. I’m talking about daily driving/acceleration, so the Adv 4x4 doesn’t affect anything there. Either way in both situations I’d rather have the lower rear end gearing. Especially since I’m planning on putting 33s.

All in all, neither trim “beats” the other one, cause they are so close in price(even if the BD is ultimately cheaper in this comparison without those optional wheels). It’s up to your preferences and needs. Pretty much cloth and LEDs vs MGV and rubber flooring.

I'll give you the cost point on this, and some of the things from BB I do prefer.. OK well it's really just the signature lights.

What the BD does for me over the BB is the interior. I prefer MGV over the cloth. And NEITHER one has wheels or tires (too small) that if keep longer than to just drive home.

It's going to come down to which specific items you want, and which you can do without. I think both trims have their plusses, but neither makes the perfect Bronco for me @ that price point (which is where I am)

yeah, but replacing headlights down the road would be less trouble and cheaper than all that other stuff. Remember all the headlights are led so its prob just plug and play
Really though? There's gotta be a reason their not offering it. Plus I know manufacturers will upsell, but $800 for something you could plug and play..
Idk. Something isn't lining up with that logic to me.

Big bend offer better options, but a stock BD is everything I want in a Bronco.

AFAIK, LED taillights and headlights are standard OBX and above.
LED headlights are the only LED option on the BB.
Base and BD can't get either LED light set.
I feel like there is a lot of confusion on the LED headlights. All of the headlights are LED including on the base. The signature LED headlights are just upgraded with a different look. There is no non-LED headlight option on any trim.

You have to figure signatures will be a stand alone option.

My wife says the washout floor and MVS are priority over the signature LEDs so it’s the BD for us.

Ford has a ton of modularity in their products. Considering it's a standalone option on BB with nothing else required, I bet it'll be pretty straightforward. Even on the new Fusions, upgrading from the base to Titanium tails like I did required one minor code change in Forscan.

You're right.

Thanks for the correction.

I don't think that's a glitch. I believe the $1895 engine upgrade includes the automatic which is in line with other vehicles. Ford should confirm or not this week.
But the 2.7 is $1,895 on the OB that already has the automatic so tell me that makes sense.

I would say the same, but just worried about dark vinyl in Texas heat. Is MGV any cooler than typical vinyl seats? Rarely will I get to admire my Bronco's LEDs, but planting my back side on a vinyl seat in the summer? That I will do 9 months of the year.

Nice. Any chance Ford might add this as an option to BD before we have to order in Dec? I'm just really curious to why only this trim are they not.

Maybe if they see enough of us opting for a cheaper model simply bc of this, it would seem a no brainer to just add it.

Or was this known even before the B&P came out?

I'd switch to BD in a heartbeat if they added it.

Same for me. Vinyl is holding me on BD. The lights can come later.

I'm think I'm going to stick with black diamond because I like the seats and floor better on BD, but I noticed this yesterday too. And quite disappointed the signature lights aren't available on BD.
Shit, another WTF question for the B&P wieners....
