Bestop Trektop installed. Loving the look, fit and function

I'm loving the look, fit and function of the Trektop on my 2dr Base Squatch. Wind noise is really no worse than hard top.

Looks good. Man I want one, I just have to park in some little bit shady areas and I'm worried about someone slicing it (has happened to others before in that area).

Maybe just the sunrider for me...

I thought about sunrider, but for another $500 got the whole soft top.

getting mine monday. I hope the top stays together as "one piece" so it can be easily removed for the winter and stored.

I know the problem is the hardware you have to remove.

I bought PPF because somebody told me there are areas that rub on the roll bar paint? can anybody point these areas out for me?

The full top comes with ppf for the side rails, I added foam to the underside of both rear roll bar mounting brackets, also bought different mounting bolts, 8mm 1.25 and 6mm 1.25 because the torx bolts suck.

Run a tap and chase threads on all hardware, makes starting bolts extremely easy.

I love the appearance. I just dont want to give up my rear window popping up and out of the way. But if my top rips etc in future I will go best top. But its very convenient having window out of way with a click. Struts.

I think I'm gonna get some thumb screws to make it a tool less transition from soft to hard in the future. Gee that read terrible.

can i get a list of the exact bolts i would need to order? i heard the stock bolts are aweful

So my top did not come with the sticker thing you put on the rear quarter top surface. How important is it

The top is awesome. I drive with my back window removed most of the time. My hardtop is in a museum in my garage. In FL, so I doubt I’ll ever put that HT on again. The bestop twill is a true four season top and I love the overhead zippered storage.

That is a ppf film to protect paint, pretty important, you could probably substitute foam or felt obtained locally.

Yes, it is just paint protection.
