"Many dealers have unclaimed weekly allocations because of retail orders not matching buildable combinations, which leads to rolling-over into a possible non-buildable production week for Broncos"
I think this sentence is what a lot of members here need to understand. Ford is at some point trying to keep its production lines moving and full.

I was lucky that the exact build I wanted (Base 4Dr soft-top, 2.3 Auto, SAS, Aux switches) seems to be on the "fast track" to getting built.

I ordered December 2nd and the dealer called and said I had a build date December 11th.

That said, I wouldn't have changed it even if it meant a longer wait time...
I take it you didn't have a res? I ordered a base 4dr soft top 2.3 auto with aux switches in November but nothing yet...fingers crossed it's on the "fast track"

You should definitely be on the fast track, your build is exactly what it needs to be to get scheduled, who is the order through? Small or big dealership?

Definitely a bigger dealership here in Barrington, IL but I have no clue on their Bronco business....I was going to go with a dealership that had a ton of Bronco business but they wouldn't agree to MSRP so I went to Wickstrom Ford instead.

Well happy you found a dealership that did MSRP, some dealers just seem to forget that they wouldn't have Broncos to sell if you, the customer, didn't pick them in the first place.

I know! The only reason you have this Bronco to sell me, is because I ordered it in the first place haha...however I have seen some horror stories about dealers jacking up the price when there's no signed PA by both parties, so I definitely need to go get that...putting a little too much trust in the dealer...granted they have a great reputation but dealers are gonna dealer

  1. Keep it to the Base, Big Bend, Outerbanks(Mid-Package preferred, I have seen Lux-Package make it through, no leather)
You didn't include the Black Diamond. Are they not included in the fast track list?? If so what would cause a BD to be held up??

Thanks for the post are you on the East side of Michigan? The West side has quite a few Broncos sitting on the lots and no one is buying them. Two on Plainfield and a couple more on Alpine. I am going to wait for my OBX with tow, lux, heavy bumper, leather, MIC, roof rails, aux switches, upgraded floor mats, advanced 4x4, 464 days and still counting.
Happy New Year!

EDIT: There has been some backlash, which is okay, I knew this would come. Please, this is not meant for those who want desired options or don't want to settle on lower options. I wouldn't recommend anyone go with lower options if they aren't going to be happy! Out of the 200 reservations my dealership has/had, currently - 134 of them are 313a/314a/333a/334a/353a/354a and these customers are not changing. 74 of them are 2.7l Ecoboost and Squatch.

This may be well known by now, but this is coming from a dealership that has gotten over 30 Broncos scheduled for customers that did not have reservations(EDIT: since 2022 opening). Many dealers have unclaimed weekly allocations because of retail orders not matching buildable combinations, which leads to rolling-over into a possible non-buildable production week for Broncos. That is just a scenario, but that is what has caused huge delays for people. My customer put in a Big Bend that was entered into WBDO on 10/28/2021 and received a VIN 11/4/2021 for a build week of 1/17/2022 - she was expecting a year wait...

Sometimes, your dealership may have 50 buildable allocations, but only 10 scheduled on Thursday, that is normal - if the following week is a buildable week for Bronco, you still have 40 possibilities your order gets chosen.

If you do the following...
  1. 4-door only with a soft-top. This is known already, but I just want to make sure everyone knows this... it makes a huge difference
  2. Keep it to the Base, Big Bend, Outerbanks(Mid-Package preferred, I have seen Lux-Package make it through, no leather)
  3. No Sasquatch, I know... but there is an alternative many are not thinking of! If you go to Rough Country, they have a 2" Lift/Spacer Kit that is a 1-2 hour job for the average mechanic - it costs $149.95, or if your dealer is a Rough Country dealership, they get a discount off of parts. Then, go to your local Ford Dealer and see if you can secure the tires I have attached:
    • For wheels, honestly anything with the correct bolt pattern(6x139.7mm), a +18mm offset, and 17x9 you'll have a great look to your Bronco. Your tires will go past the flares slightly, but who doesn't like a little showing...
    • If you need the full capability of the Bronco, I still recommend the Sasquatch package, and the wait is definitely worth it!! If you require the look, go the Rough Country route.
  4. Go with the 2.3l Ecoboost motor, it is reliable and more than enough for the daily driver. Pair this with either the Manual or Automatic, I haven't seen either make a difference for scheduling.
  5. KEEP THE TOW PACKAGE OFF IF YOU NEED TO CARRY BIKES AROUND.... please, thank you
  6. Be patient if you make the changes... there is never a guarantee, but I have seen this work for my customers.
  7. Strip everything out, anything you can get through your dealership, do it!
My personal order was a Big Bend Mid with the Sasquatch 2.7l Ecoboost. I took away the Sasquatch and 2.7l, got a build week the following week, I received my car two months later. Currently, loving EVERY second of it :D

HIGH RESTRICTIONS(if you don't need these, take them away)
  1. Sasquatch
  2. 2.7l Ecoboost
  3. 2-door
  4. Hardtop
  5. Tow Package
  6. Paint Protection(LITERALLY TAKE THIS OFF PLEASE, GET IT DONE LOCALLY)
  7. LUX Package
  8. Badlands(333a or 334a)/WildTrak(353a/354a) EDIT: going 2.3l Badlands will increase your chances
  9. Strip everything out, anything you can get through your dealership, do it! EDIT: by this I meant accessories

One thing to keep in mind is that MAP running a full capacity can only make 160k units per year. There are a bunch of orders that aren't going to be made for a long time.

Correct, even myself, I never thought I'd need my customers to sign a WBDO order, majority don't - and that comes with reputation.

Black Diamonds are iffy, I'm not entirely sure if they are on the fast track or not... but I do know that the rubber flooring is a standard constraint because of the Badlands soaking up availability. I have more people going towards the Badlands for the off-road functionality and upgraded interiors.

Yup, we are southeast region, and we cannot keep them on our lots at all. We are fair with our customer back-out orders or stock units, and usually have a small ADM stacked onto it. Price-protected customer orders are always A/Z or MSRP. What color did you ultimately go with?

Happy New Years everyone!

@JoshuaPrieto good info on this thread. I'd appreciate your opinion - I have a 9/2020 res date, ordered 2/21, reordered last fall. I'm not yet scheduled. Currently my order is a 2-door base mansquatch. I'm not willing to switch to soft-top, but am considering changing to 4-door base squatch (2.3 auto). Do you think this would speed things up for me, or is there really not much difference between 2/4 door in this case?
