EDIT: There has been some backlash, which is okay, I knew this would come. Please, this is not meant for those who want desired options or don't want to settle on lower options. I wouldn't recommend anyone go with lower options if they aren't going to be happy! Out of the 200 reservations my dealership has/had, currently - 134 of them are 313a/314a/333a/334a/353a/354a and these customers are not changing. 74 of them are 2.7l Ecoboost and Squatch.

This may be well known by now, but this is coming from a dealership that has gotten over 30 Broncos scheduled for customers that did not have reservations(EDIT: since 2022 opening). Many dealers have unclaimed weekly allocations because of retail orders not matching buildable combinations, which leads to rolling-over into a possible non-buildable production week for Broncos. That is just a scenario, but that is what has caused huge delays for people. My customer put in a Big Bend that was entered into WBDO on 10/28/2021 and received a VIN 11/4/2021 for a build week of 1/17/2022 - she was expecting a year wait...

Sometimes, your dealership may have 50 buildable allocations, but only 10 scheduled on Thursday, that is normal - if the following week is a buildable week for Bronco, you still have 40 possibilities your order gets chosen.

If you do the following...
  1. 4-door only with a soft-top. This is known already, but I just want to make sure everyone knows this... it makes a huge difference
  2. Keep it to the Base, Big Bend, Outerbanks(Mid-Package preferred, I have seen Lux-Package make it through, no leather)
  3. No Sasquatch, I know... but there is an alternative many are not thinking of! If you go to Rough Country, they have a 2" Lift/Spacer Kit that is a 1-2 hour job for the average mechanic - it costs $149.95, or if your dealer is a Rough Country dealership, they get a discount off of parts. Then, go to your local Ford Dealer and see if you can secure the tires I have attached:
    • For wheels, honestly anything with the correct bolt pattern(6x139.7mm), a +18mm offset, and 17x9 you'll have a great look to your Bronco. Your tires will go past the flares slightly, but who doesn't like a little showing...
    • If you need the full capability of the Bronco, I still recommend the Sasquatch package, and the wait is definitely worth it!! If you require the look, go the Rough Country route.
  4. Go with the 2.3l Ecoboost motor, it is reliable and more than enough for the daily driver. Pair this with either the Manual or Automatic, I haven't seen either make a difference for scheduling.
  5. KEEP THE TOW PACKAGE OFF IF YOU NEED TO CARRY BIKES AROUND.... please, thank you
  6. Be patient if you make the changes... there is never a guarantee, but I have seen this work for my customers.
  7. Strip everything out, anything you can get through your dealership, do it!
My personal order was a Big Bend Mid with the Sasquatch 2.7l Ecoboost. I took away the Sasquatch and 2.7l, got a build week the following week, I received my car two months later. Currently, loving EVERY second of it :D

HIGH RESTRICTIONS(if you don't need these, take them away)
  1. Sasquatch
  2. 2.7l Ecoboost
  3. 2-door
  4. Hardtop
  5. Tow Package
  6. Paint Protection(LITERALLY TAKE THIS OFF PLEASE, GET IT DONE LOCALLY)
  7. LUX Package
  8. Badlands(333a or 334a)/WildTrak(353a/354a) EDIT: going 2.3l Badlands will increase your chances
  9. Strip everything out, anything you can get through your dealership, do it! EDIT: by this I meant accessories

I‘m looking at ordering a second Bronco 2 door base manual with upfitter switches, mod bumper, and roof rack. I have a 8/4/2021 reservation available. What would you guess for chances of building this in the first half of 2022?

That is a rough one, only because the 2-doors are a total constraint with the hard-top. You have some pros, base and manual - honestly leave the roof racks off and get them after market or through accessories.ford.com. Mod bumper is another item you could leave off and have it installed after the fact, but it isn't a heavy constraint

Also, sadly with the way Ford rolled out the Reservation System, having an early reservation is used last when choosing a Bronco - which in your case, could benefit you, its hard to say though. The F-150 Lightning should have a better system in place

EDIT: Sorry didn't even answer the question  it is a possibility that you do see it, but get that in ASAP to have the best odds

About 4 months after mine which I ordered in April. I'm cautiously optimistic mine might be built in May.

Only option I have on mine is Aux switches.

Yeah, that is the scary apart about 2-doors, you cannot order them with a soft top, so you are stuck with a heavily desired option...

I keep having to remind people, just because Webasto is producing MIC tops, does not mean that they are making the 800-900 per day needed for the product mix.

Soft top will remain the fast track to a Bronco for quite a while to come.

So...if I order a pizza with anchovies (that I hate) and no cheese from a pizza place that I am not a fan of, I can get it way faster than the way I want it from the place I want to pick it up? (leave the Tesla delivery jokes at the door, folks)

Sounds great!

edit; all joking aside, it is actually gratifying that they are building trucks with what they have, they are making something. The downside is that it eats up allocations for reservationists.

I think this was supposed to be more helpful for folks who are on the fence with options. Not the ones that are set on their orders. Guy is just providing information to help people get theirs faster.

keep it the way you want it if you need the capability and not look, which sounds like you need capability if you're going base squatch

Also, like AbsoluteFord said above, this isn't meant for those who loaded up a badlands, squatch, 2.7l lux with a tow package... there is nothing you can do but wait unless you want to lose everything.. make sense?

It is for those who either just want a Bronco or have a feature they are iffy about.

Regarding Allocation, yes it is true, we are lucky enough to be a bigger dealership to be able to put orders in and not hurt our reservation customers. It won't last forever, so please get ahead of the curve and not wait a couple of months from now to change your order.

He said skip the Sasquatch and order a Rough Country lift 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yes sir, not everyone needs capability. Trust me, I wish everyone took Sasquatch, but if you don't need capability and want look - save yourself the stress of looking at your email every Thursday/Friday and know you have a shot at getting a VIN sooner.

No thanks.

Two customers have already used them and love it from my personal experience, you could go FabTech - whatever makes you happy on the aftermarket side, BDS has announced their lift kit as well. Tons of options coming :D
