Best 33IN Tires???

Hello all,

I have stock BB 32" tires and have 17in Fifteen52 Traverse HD Block Bronze wheels coming in soon. I want to get C Rated 33" All Terrains. Either the Toyo Open Country's, BFG KO2s, or Nitto Terra Grapplers. C rated is pretty nonexistent rn. Thoughts and Recommendations? Thank you in advance!

I upgraded to 33" BFG K02, E rated because I want the extra sidewall strength for offroading.

Totally pleased, on pavement the K02s run queit and roll just like a street tire. I have 50 psi in them, and will air down to 32 for offroad.

Ok. Ive thought about ko2s, mainly bc of the white lettering lol they would look amazing with my green and bronze setup

Ever had aggressive tires before? My wife thinks something wrong with my tires, they howl and sing.

Itll be more highway and on road, as well as occasional off road for trips to national parks. I'm a mechanic and I work on trucks and such that have MT tires so I know they can hum at certain speeds and act different than AT or road tires

I have always had Cooper tires first on my 88 Bronco, them my Tahoe.
Not much noise, great in snow and mud as well as highway use.
I dont go offroad except for the occasional farm road when going waterfowling.
Cooper 275/70/R18 -- soon for my outer banks

Bfg at is what most people run. They run ok on the highway and still handle well. With luck you can find some Badlands takeoffs.

There are several C or SL rated tires in 285/70R17 that will fit and work well. Stay away from E rated as they don’t ride as well and are much heavier than necessary. In the C load the BFG KO2 are the lightest (51#) and are stock on the Badlands trim. In SL trim everything is lighter than 51#, the lightest I found are the Firestone Destination AT2 at 43# but they are a little too street looking for my liking. The Cooper AT3 4S are good tires and only 45#. If you want a very aggressive look the SL Nitto Ridge Grapplers are available and only 49#. The same tire in a C load is 66#.

Ive also seen the Toyo Open Country AT 3s, and they don't look bad either. Also have a C rated option on Discount Tire. Itd be between those and the BFG KO2s. Another question I have is: 70 or 75 aspect ratio? the 75s are almost 34 in while the 70s are almost 33s.

Agreed. I have a set on a BB. They’re also great in snow.

I am a huge fan of the Terra grappler g2's if you want an "all terrain" that has good winter and road manners. I have had them on both my v8 gas and v10 diesel touareg as well as a few random other vehicles.

I'm in michigan so snow is a concern and the g2's are pretty strong in that department and they are fairly quiet on the road too. I'd highly recommend, way better than wrangler duratracs and all terrain t/a imo.

I haven't seen them listed, but I hear the Fallen Wildpeaks are an excellent tire.
