Is anyone interested in a new set of Focal Access 100AC, 300mz base blockers, 4" boom mats and 72-5600 wiring harness adapters?
Are you running these in the dash? Do they fit under the factory grill? The tweeter looks to stand a little tall maybe?

Is anyone interested in a new set of Focal Access 100AC, 300mz base blockers, 4" boom mats and 72-5600 wiring harness adapters? Price is $150+shipping for everything. Speakers where meant for the rear but they didn't fit. So I bought different ones. message me if interested.

Speakers alone are $230 on Crutchfield https://www.crutchfield.com/p_091100AC/Focal-Performance-100AC.html?tp=102

Shouldn't those speakers fit in the rear if you trim two of the ears? I'd think most 4" speakers would fit.

The twitter sticks out to far. But they fit fine in the front.

Gotcha. Good deal here for someone wanting to upgrade their speakers. Front ones make biggest difference, rear are not full range.

The mounting depth is pretty shallow for both 4" locations, 1.758" for the dash speakers and 1.795" in the rear pods according to Crutchfield. This rules out a number of speaker options. The mount height is short as well .532" and .528" respectively which rules out the speakers with protruding tweeters.

I have these mounted in the front of my bronco and the fit and sound great. I did replace the back with different speakers (Morel Maximo Ultra 402 Coax) which fit in the rear and sound better than the stock speakers but as stated in roll sound's reply the rear are not full range. The best sound upgrade will be in the front speakers.

So, clearly Crutchfield needs more time figuring out exactly what speakers will fit where.

Front dash and rear pods are JL Audio C1-400x so two sets.
JL Audio C1 400x

Front kick panels JL Audio C1-650x
JL Audio C1 650x

Kicker HS10 Hideaway sub and amp (10in sub and 150w RMS amp).
Kicker HS10

-----Was VERY tempted and torn between the C1-650x and the C1-650 components.
JL Audio C1 650
How did the JL Audio C1-650x's fit in the kick panels? I heard the tweeter sticks out a bit when it comes to mounting depth.

They fit fine, the grills might have been tight at the tweeter. The JL c1 650 does come with thinner mounting rings than the ones I bought and used so worst case using those thinner rings would give more room even.

Crutchfield is usually pretty conservative. They give you what will fit using the mounting adapters that they provide with the speakers. Those are typically made by Metra, work in a wide variety of install applications, and are made of fairly cheap materials. This is why so few 6.5-6.75" speakers "fit" the kick panels.

Ignore my horrible soldering job. Found out the hard way that old solder loses its flux. Went to thinner, newer solder and my job looked great. I think the solder I had was my grandfathers.
I stole a formula off the internet:
For a 4 ohm speaker, 100uF will yield a high pass filter of F = 1 / (2 * Pi * 4 Ohm * 0.000100uF) = 398 Hz. So basically a 400Hz blocker. These things are not on/off, so there will be a "rolloff" of frequencies a little lower than this.

You will need connectors for the speakers (at this point I do not believe a suitable adapter has been identified). I would suggest some automotive panel tools and the high pass crossovers mentioned in the prior post, along with a 7mm socket. I used 300hz Crutchfield high pass x-overs and I am very happy with the outcome, but I could not a/b test 300 vs. 600hz and my speakers have a 3.2ohm nominal impedance, which yields a frequency slightly higher than 300hz, from what I remember. The crossovers have the spade connectors, but they left exposed metal, so I also used heat shrink tubing over the connectors to avoid a short (electrical tape would do as well).
It`s a direct ratio: 4.0/3.2*300=375Hz

Well after much trial and error, what you need to upgrade the speakers for the base sound system is the following:

For the 4" dash and rear pods:
Wiring Harness: 2 package Metra 72-5600 (NOT 100% match, but works... sold as a pair, so one for fronts, one for rears)
Bass blockers: I used 1 package PAC BB-4PR (again, sold as a pair, you will either need some crimp connectors or solder them in-line to the Metra harness... you likely need a set for the rears as well but I can hardly hear them so your mileage may vary) *edit* ends up no you don't need blockers for the rears, the rear outputs are filtered at the head unit, can be disabled using FORSCAN.

For the 6.5" Kick panel speakers:
Wiring harness: 1 package Metra 72-5602 (sold as a pair)
Adapters to fit aftermarket speakers: 1 package Metra 82-5605 (sold as a pair)
Did the outside mounting holes match the three frame bolt positions?

For which? The Metra 82-5605 adaptor plate allows aftermarket 6.5" speakers to mate up to the holes in the body, if that's what you're asking.
