I've been playing around with locations to mount my phone with different hardware and this is a pretty cheap way to put one where the grab handle would have been. Got my cut off wheel and rounded the head of an M6 bolt and cut slot to make it flat head ready. I'm sure they made the right size bolt but for $2.40 and 1 trip to Ace Hardware I was done. In about thirty minutes.

Nice! But that AR Ball makes this a lot more spendy than the $2.40. I will try this with an old style ram ball. Thanks!

Yeah I had the AR ball from my top mount. I did not know they make a ram ball with a hollow center. You need about 1 1/4 inches past the base of the ball to get good contact with the threads.
