I'm hoping the Sasquatch package is $4k or less. If it is im going Base in Antimatter Blue 2.3 with manual transmission and Auxiliary switches.

If not I have no idea. I wish Ford would just release the Dam pricing already so I know what the hell im doing. ?

Thats assuming that Ford is listening and will let us get the Sasquatch and Manual Transmission.

I thought the Squatch required auto trans.

You can get Badlands with 33's and have Squatch, minus wheels, tires, and flares, with a manual transmission.

........and a lot of other frills as well. But I think that is the only way to get the Squatch/manual combo.

Yes as of now Ford is making us upgrade to the Automatic if we want the Sasquatch package which sucks.

Unfortunately Badlands is outside of my budget. Plus I'm not a fan of the grill on the Badlands.

Hear ya there, I didn't really want to spend that kind of money to start as well. I can unbolt my sway bar. I planned on Line-Xing the floor. and like the base grille as well. I can get my hands on some aftermarket halos as well. I don't need that fancy stuff I just need the BANG !!! SCREEEEEEETCH !!!! stuff, HAHAHA.

Because of having to go auto w/ squatch, I gave some thought to going 2.7 as well if it's priced right. the auto has some advantages as well. that turn assist is cool Good impersonation of the "front dig". Sometimes when "wheeling" it is nice to have an auto as well.

I think one thing people are not considering is that the prices from factory are offset by the price of the parts they are replacing. So yes... part X may cost $2k on the retail market... but if you never put on the $1.2k standard axle to begin with, the overall price only increases by $800.

It's not like they are getting craiglist prices for the stuff they are yanking off... that stuff was never put on in the first place.

Meaning the price of this upgrade as we, the consumers see it should be Sasquatch Components Price minus Standard Components Price. This of course assumes labor to install is equal between the two. So if Sasquatch components cost $6000 and the standard components are $3500, then the cost of the upgrade should be about $2500 plus any up charge for Ford to make some dough.

The Base Tires and Rims are probably less than 500 cost for Ford

Exactly.. take for exame the OBx vs Wildtrack. For the $10k you get...

2.7 L w auto, Sasquatch, Modular Hard top, Mid Package, and some more extras.... all for 10k .

So many of these prices that are being brought up may be over estimates.

Now I'm not saying if you want a base with perks, Ford isn't going to rake you over the coals... but that's because they can, not because it cost that much.

I reserved 4 door Badlands, planning on 2.3 MT But I’m thinking it’s gonna be $50k and not sure I can justify that.... Then I was thinking going with Black Diamond to get the rear locker, vinyl seats and washout floors.

Now I’m seriously thinking of getting base and building it. Still up in the air until we see pricing. My concerns with the base are lack of lockers and cloth seats. Otherwise, I will do some sort of lift for 35” tires/wheels. I’m thinking 4.46 gears with the Manual should be good.

anyone experienced with 4x4s have a general idea on what lockers may cost? my Off-roading is limited to dirt trails But mostly sandy beaches.

True. No Sasquatch with Manual, but you should be able to get it with a 2.3 Auto. It’s a travesty.

For now you can't get it with the manual but you can get Sasquatch with the 2.3 engine.

If you go Base just get the Sasquatch package. Then you get both front and rear Lockers. Whatever the price of that package ends up being i will bet the aftermarket plus labor will be more expensive and not under warranty. Your better off building it from the factory.

Ford may change that. They hinted that they are listening. So who knows. For me if Base doesn't workout im probably going Black Diamond. At least with that ill get a rear locker and a lot of gear right from the factory. Who knows though. They need to release the dam pricing.

I'm probably down with that route as well. Pending the cost of the Sasquatch option. One possible fly in the ointment, would be if Ford only allows certain colors on the base models. Hope that is not the case. Has anyone seen mention of color options?

Yes, they are restricting colors on the Base model. No Cyber orange or Cactus grey. Lack of color options will probably push me into a Black Diamond.
