I don't know why everyone is talking about a ozone generator, check the rear underfloor storage area, it's very likely coming from condensation/mold there.

I had a similar smell that I couldn’t find where it was coming from. When I took the doors off those little rubber protectors they have in the Bronco tool kit were the culprit of the smell. I took them and the tool kit out of the vehicle and the smell went away. I was about to try an Adam’s odor bomb…now I have no need for it.

Just smelly rubber. Check your Bronco tool kit and see if those rubber pieces smell.

Tips on getting rid of a bad farm smell inside? I smelled the carpet and nothing and also changed the cabin filter.

I have a '22 Base and had the bad smell intermittently also. Filled a plastic dish with baking soda and stuck it under my seat--I've got a 2 door and live alone,so apart from a friend now and again, nobody sits in the back. It worked! Smell gradually disappeared.

What about the AC not draining? Anyone know where the ac drain line is?

Take it out for a drive today. Our Wisconsin humidity is up there. You’ll quickly see if the AC is draining. I had a small river following me into the garage this morning. Had to think a minute as I thought I had a leak from something else!

I put a few charcoal bags inside under seats, seems to have helped. Mine doesn't get driven much, so if it sat for a few weeks it would have a smell. I thinks it's more the smell of the rubber flooring.

Mine stinks. Doesn’t come from AC vents. No leaks or moisture under floor anywhere. It airs out for the most part after driving it awhile. I’m leaning towards the MDF sub enclosure as the source. Need to pull it out for the week while it sits in garage.

@DemonGT Have you found the culprit of the smell? I’m dying to know if it was also coming from the rubber pieces in the door taking off kit that comes with the vehicle. That was definitely the source of my problem.

@Ducati1098 or someone else with access, is there a diagram available to help locate the AC drain hose? Like many, I can see the puddle and hear the sizzling, but can’t find the damn thing ! I just replaced the cabin air filter but wanted to run some foam cleaner to get the muck out. Wondering if I can access it from under the carpet on the front passenger side like on some Subaru models. One can only wish it were that easy! Appreciate ya’lls time.

No not really. Just going to have to look for it. It’ll be on the passenger side bottom somewhere close to the firewall. Could be under some heat shielding

You may be onto something with the smelly rubber... I too have a weird smell in my year-old Bronco that's been there since day one. It's MUCH worse on hot days, where on cold days I barely notice it. I've tried an ozone generator and that really doesn't help. I've also changed my cabin filter and even had my AC system "refreshed" when I had it last serviced. I also sprayed lysol into the exterior air vents and have gone through 2 bottles of Febreeze recently.

But today, I noticed the smell of the rubber around the window seals on the b-pillars next to the back seats. That may have been it...! Unfortunately it was - and still is - pouring rain so I'll have to check again tomorrow.

Do the majority of Broncos with smell have the rubber floor? Mine smells terrible. Been that way since about new. Garage kept. Dissipates after a day of driving. But comes right back when sitting closed up for the week. Doesn’t emanate from the AC vents.

It seems to be directly over the Trans. I’ve looked for it, can see condenser water running down trans but cant feel or find the drain tube.

Has anyone had luck finding the drain tube? Changed filters and mine isn’t draining at all but can’t find the drain tube at all.
