Hey party people!
I have an OBX that Im planning on putting some aftermarket lights and evenly a winch.
My bronco didn't come with the factory auxiliary switches unfortunately 😔. So I'm looking for ideas on some switches that I wont need to cut up my interior or drill any holes to install.

Thanks

The easiest would be the Oracle Trigger. No wiring through the firewall.

There are ~a lot~ of options that just bolt on but do require running a cable through the firewall.

Honestly there aren’t many that require you to drill or cut unless you are trying to make a Made-For-Jeep kit fit or something.

All of them will require some wiring under the hood.

what year OBX?

The wires may be under the hood, ready to use. There's a somewhat recent thread here with a video describing how to add the factory aux switches. It's really quite straightforward.

Doesn't work for 2025, though.

As a guy who put AUX switches pretty high on my list of "must haves" when I ordered my Bronco, now that I've lived with them for a few years I can say that I'd prefer the aftermarket alternatives by DiodeDynamics or Oracle.

Not that there's anything wrong with the factory AUX switches, it's just that these aftermarket solutions have so many more value added features that you just don't get with the factory switches.

The Trigger and D-Switch weren't around when I ordered my Bronco, but TBH...even if they were...I probably would have stubbornly clung to the idea of "wanting that factory look and feel" and NOT gone that route. It's only after I started actually adding different things that I truly began to appreciate the robustness of these other products and what I lacked without them.

If I could go back in time to my younger self...would advise against being so hung up on "the factory look" and consider the bigger picture of functionality.

My "been there, didn't do that" advice, FWIW.

(Final note: eventually, one of these companies is going to accidentally stumble on the idea of touch screen panel with customizable graphics instead of stickers. They're getting warm with the Bluetooth phone apps. When that day comes....I'll probably ditch my factory switches)

I saw one of these with a LCD screen posted here last year, but the price was astronomical. You could ~almost~ do that with one of the bluetooth controllable ones and the app on your phone too.

Meantime I went back to Stickerfab and replaced their written/picture labels (unreadable for me or more importantly co-pilot) with their colored graphics labels on a chicklet. Big improvement on the Aux switches readability. Next round of light adds I’ll probably go the Garmin route and put these on the screen.
