Meaning no BS. Those guys were really awesome at our shop tour last month, and when I mentioned that I as was an ”ADV refugee” they threw no shade on ADV, just said it was a shame what happened to buyers and glad I got my refund. They were fully transparent about challenges past and current in getting designs modified and orders fulfilled, plans to improve etc. Class act all around.
💯 I had the same experience, a class act and no trash talk about anyone.

Install complete and the guys were great. Whole crew were true professionals. Will test the decibels later but just grabbing lunch first :)

Looks good on your setup. Very nice. The top and fendors blend well together along with the wheels.

Oh one note … if you are having them do the install, let them know ahead of time if you want them to relocate the GPS/XM antenna

Agreed, I asked Fabian about it prior via email and he said they could take care of it during installation…no additional $.

there were 2 or 3 more over by the QC area but I didn’t check the order numbers . If they emailed that your top is in QC status it could be one of these ;)

also in the shop itself I saw parts for batches 4-6. So things are moving along.

So driving back home in the stretch from the Arizona border to home I was getting 18.8 mpg . I hit traffic for a good stretch from the border all the way until about riverside so it’s a blend of highway driving and non. Before in a mixed condition like this I averaged 15.6 with the soft top.

highway speed was based on 70-80mph which I normally drive about that. So I did gain mpg by switching from a soft top to a hard top. Mpg possibly could increase a little more too since I was driving with the added weight of the soft top being stored in the back during this road trip (also weight from wife and friends asking for things from Buc-ee’s lol)

noise wise in that extremely windy section on the 10 between Fort Stockton and Junction
Soft Top: 98.6 -104.4 decibels
Armadillo : 96.8 - 98.2 decibels

I’ll measure normal daily driving this week but as someone mentioned earlier in this thread, you do hear more noise now from below. On the good note… the regular speakers don’t sound that bad anymore lol. It’s tolerable 😆

fun trip though. My buddy @UkeHuntBronco came for the ride and jokingly I say Seth Rogan and his crew stalked us at La Barbecue in Austin. He actually showed up there after we had left but I’ll just claim hes a stalker for fun lol.

Please make some low profile front and middle top sections that securely fasten to the bronco and don’t need the rear section to be installed. Or, conversely, develop a bracket that bolts on top of the roll cage that allows the factory front and middle sections to fully attach to the bronco, absent the rear.

Thx

Great to see folks get their tops. Has anyone ordered and received a 2 door top yet?

don’t think anyone has got the 2 door yet for normal consumer orders, but I can be wrong. I was batch 2 for orders and at that time only 4 door tops were available. My batch 2 was ready for installation/ship mid-Feb but I didn’t have time to head to Texas until just this last week. My guess and only a guess is that the first 2-doors shipped may be in batch 4 or 5. But even then I’m not sure how many 2-doors have actually been ordered. Again just a guess.

I’m not quite sure I understand the request here 🤔

oh you want an entirely different product just designed to cover the seated portion of the vehicle and not the rest? With their slant back you can just remove the 3 rear windows and achieve almost the same thing without the goofy look of the people who have OEM tops and remove the back but leave the front 3 pieces in place.

I think you might be in the wrong thread as this is not an OEM top and the design is no way similar? What you mentioned will never work with the Armadillo modular design and the semi-permanent shell.
