Anyone running a roof half rack?

Hey all, I was thinking about getting a roof rack and then saw the half rack. There a few companies that make the half rack now. I know I could get a snowboard carrier put up there but I haven't seen pictures of anybody running a the half rack. Other than the snowboard carrier, what else would work up there? Trying to see if this would work up there? Maybe a small cargo basket or platform?

Following for the same reasons. I would like to see a Bronco with a Half Rack as well.
I ordered mine with the OEM rack but actually ended up having to remove it in order to fit the Baja Designs XL light bar. I'm thinking about the TrailRax Half Rack with their Pax Rax for a little extra utility to get something back up there.

I liked that one too. I've seen many talk about liking and thinking about getting the 1/2 rack but I have yet to see or hear about anybody getting it. I just want to be sure it's as functional as I think and want it to be before I commit.

I also looked at the Badasstents roof rack as well! Gives the possible option to make it a full rack I believe.

I know a few that have gotten the full rack but have yet to see anyone get the half rack. Those that have gotten the full rack have nothing but good things to say. I think the modularity of the Trail Rax rack would also allow for the full rack conversion down the road, although I'm not sure. They are really highlighting the modularity in their marketing so it's just my assumption. That Badass one looks pretty...bad ass () too actually

Yes, I installed mine today from TrailRax. Will be posting an install report.

Maybe snowboards, skiis maybe too long? ARB makes a 3/4 rack that allows the front panel access, but extends over the mid-panel. Just came out.

No on the Pax Rax for me for now, never used one, never thought of it, just wanted the rack. But I could add it if needed in future, expecially if I go on a long, overnights camping excursion. I like those flat gas cans, was not aware of them until lately.

I bought one of the Badass half rack. They should reliable it as Bad half rack. It's junk. Paint peeling an had to tap the threads myself. Their comment was " mistakes happen" here's $25 for your trouble. Run from this company.

My short list was: BadAss Tents, JCR, and Valkyrie. I eliminated BAT as I did not like only 2 crossbars. I ended up going with Valkyrie and really like the looks. I have not loaded anything on it yet. The TrailRax came out just after I ordered the Valkyrie. It looks like a great product too.
