Would like to mount my Audiotec Fischer Conductor audio remote here, if possible. Not sure that I’m interested in removing the seats and entire console to do this, though.

Curious if this part can be removed from the front/outside, versus the rear?

Thanks.

Ford makes a trailer break module, center console gets modified in directions...space closer to drivers seat is used for button locator. Forget the VM2DZ number...check the accessories offical page

That’s a good option. Thought about that side, too. Thanks for the idea.

Found a video on point:

@John P. I removed this switch panel today to test if the Conductor will fit. I am happy to report that installing it here will only affect the trim panel and not require any modification of the switch mechanism itself. There is almost 22mm of space behind the trim panel and the Conductor housing is only 17mm deep.

Pictures show a Mockup with dimensionally-correct 3D printed stand-ins, since I don’t have the Conductor yet in hand. The trim piece pries out from the front nice and easy with a slim trim tool. No console or seat removal required.

…and a couple of “installed” pictures that show what it would look like in the cabin:

@flip Are you able to pull the part number for the 2-door window switch bezel? My Google-fu is failing me. If we go poking holes in these, it will be nice to have a replacement on hand. Thanks in advance.

Incredible! Thanks for posting this. How did you remove the switch panel from the console—does it just pull out?

From his post above:

The trim piece pries out from the front nice and easy with a slim trim tool. No console or seat removal required.
