It happens to me all of the time. I only work a mile away from home, that doesn't give my battery a lot of time to charge while driving. Every few months I have to connect my battery charger and top it off.

It could also mean you have a bad battery.

My Battery shows at 14.5 volts when i'm driving.
The 14.5V is due to the alternator supplying charge to the system.

What you are seeing is the system voltage. Basically the alternator output controlled by the BMS. Not really an indication of the battery SOC. Putting it on a charger will fully charge the battery. If the problem still exists, it is probably the battery crapping out.

That’s your alternator supporting the battery.

Even if it shows 12.5 with the engine off doesn’t necessarily mean the battery is good

Typical bad AGM behavior. Voltage looks fine right after a charge/running. Might even sit at 12-13 for a while. Try to draw any current and it drops like a rock.

a lot of places like autozone will test the battery for you for free. Might be worth doing.
Are you suggesting that he GET IN THE ZONE...

I had this same issue with my 23 base before I sold it. Every time I started the bronco will have a different start up chime and turning it off will display that same message. I found that just driving around for a while with no A/C and radio off helped recharge the battery.

You just made the whole jingle play in my head. Now it’s on repeat.
