what replacement vehicle would I get?
Exactly. No reasonable amount of money would be helpful. Only thing I would seriously consider would be a trade for a perfect 1G restomod. And someone would be nuts to trade one of those for a 6G.

I would easily trade it in for another Tesla she can drive around for a year and then trade in for no loss and bank the gas savings.

Definitely have thought about it.

Guess if someone was willing to pay an extra $20K over what we paid for it, we'd probably do it, then just order another one and wait.

I'm keeping mine unless someone walks up with 100k+ in cash, then they can have it right now.

I have a Lightning reservation and probably can't talk my wife into driving a truck (nor do I need one), so that one I'm considering to order in a popular version and flip it, seems like the market for those will be just as crazy. And I could not care less if someone has a problem with that and considers me 'scum', that's just silly. Hope those people never shop at Starbucks where the markup is insane on a cup of hot water with a bit of mediocre coffee grounds, LOL. Hot water more expensive that gas. Nobody is taking nothing from 'enthusiasts', some 'enthusiast' with lots of disposable cash will buy it, nothing wrong with that. There are a lot of people with way more cash than sense, nothing wrong with harvesting some of that. Just look at the crazy prices in the accessory markets, sets of little LED pods for over $1k, etc. LOL

Buying something low and selling it for high is good business, and if there's a chance that my expensive Badsquatch suddenly ends up costing me half because I can sell a truck to some rich guy I'll jump on it. Unless I find a reason to keep the Lightning too (and a place to park it in my narrow driveway.

So my mindset is that we could get a new order with MIC, pocket probably 17k after taxes, and then buy an aftermarket soft top.

My favorite is the 30 cent 3D printed hooks marked up to 25 bucks.

"Up to" is code for "not even close to this much, but come in and we think we can pressure you into selling it for a lot less".

Pass.

I hate that we are even considering it, but I got curious and did an online request for value and they came back with 67k on our Bronco V6 Big Bend. This is coming from a 45.5k MSRP.

Has anyone traded theirs in and put down another reservation?

Edit:
We have had this car for a week and we did not order just to resell. My wife had the Bronco Sport while waiting for a full sized Bronco.
Not me. Not even going to think of doing it.

I did not order my Bronco because I think I can make a profit by flipping it. I ordered it because I want it. I'm waiting an estimated nine months for it, because I want it. And once I finally have it, I'm not going to want to wait for another.

I intend to keep my Bronco for a very long time.

We put 9k miles on the Bronco Sport, one wreck, and managed to trade in over MSRP. I actually like Bronco Sport more as a daily driver, but the wife likes her new one better.
Yeah it’s a great daily and capable for what I need it to do. I have had a lot of fun mudding with it. Kelly blue book says 38-40 trade in with 16k miles (it will have that many once my Bronco comes in). Which is way more than I will get for my wife’s 2016 rogue. Lol.

I mean, if you could place an order for a BB 4 door and get it months before your ‘real’ order came in, why wouldn’t you flip it?

I doubt anyone ordered their Bronco thinking about how much money they are gonna make flipping it.

I am definitely not intending to flip it but I am buying it with the confidence that I can get out of it without losing much or possibly coming out a bit ahead if.....

I'm 37 years old and my entire life I've been doing things my Dad told me I'm an idiot for and then I usually find out sometime later (to my detriment) that I am a dumb ass like my Dad said I am.

One thing I've never done is buy a Jeep/Bronco - which I've wanted to do ever since I was knee high. But there's a real chance that I might not find the Bronco as enjoyable as I have made it out to be in my head. The quirks, shortcomings, and trade-offs might not be all they're cracked up to be in my head.

So I've got a Maverick Hybrid on order that should arrive late summer/early fall. That will give me a solid 4-6 months to decide if - I love it so much I don't need the Maverick, love it so much I can't get rid of it but still buy the Maverick, or once again admit to my Dad I am a dumb ass and slide out of the Bronco without too much damage to the wallet.

But NO - I am not considering immediately flipping it for cash. No way. No how.
