Any updates on a white top?

This is the one option that has me worried. Last I heard it was coming in 22, but since my reservation is 21, I’ll be SOL.

and I don’t want to buy more replace with white later seems like spending extra money for no real reason.

They need to somehow make it a my21 option in all seriousness they should just delay the damn thing to things go back to normal after COVID that way we get better colors and white top make everyone happy

Yup, MY22 for the white top. If you have an early reservation then yes, you’re SOL and will have to order it from the parts department.

In my wife’s case, trying to figure out what she’s going to do, but definitely looking like at least 2 orders:
Reservation 1 (day 3)-MY21 CG w/ MIC

Reservation 2 (mid Oct)-option1-CG w/ black modular top and have top painted white; option2-White w/ body color modular top and wrap the body in CG

Reservation 3 (late Oct)- MY22 CG w/ white modular top

I would order late availability mod top and get it painted or wrapped in the shade of white you desire. Expensive though

my guess is when Ford offers them it will be Oxford White to save them some cost and complexity. Seems lots of folks prefer a softer white like Wimbledon White

In all likelihood, the service parts system isn't going to list a white top. They're also not probably going to list part numbers for all the body color tops that OBX models use. They will stock a primered top assembly, just like they do for fenders, doors, etc. The assumption is that the dealer will paint the panels as needed at the time of vehicle repair / installation. It is far simpler for them to have one service part number for something than one for each color that might come along, not to mention it gets around worrying about the paint being damaged in shipping and handling.

So, with that in mind, if you're resigned to having the top painted after the fact, then why not just paint the top that comes with the vehicle? I'm sure the MIC could be painted with the right type of paint, it would resemble the pebbled texture of the FSB, right? And if you want the smooth look, then, order the black-painted top and have it reshot or wrapped.

As of now, you can add a Mod top to a BD. If that is going to stay that way, thats what I am ordering. I will take it straight to the paint shop for a coat of white. It will be way cheaper to do that than to get the MIC, wait a year, order a paintable for $3500 or so and then have it painted. BUT will BD and BB be able to order Mod tops or is that just another mistake they have not fixed in B&P?

First off, MIC top is hideous and wanted the white modular top the whole time.

second off, If we use the first reservation for a shadow black modular hardtop no one knows how far that late availability gets pushed back and into 2022?

third, because the wife is turning in her leased grand cherokee (that will be over miles restrictions) next August and she can only drive my lifted wrangler or lifted truck for so long as she’ll hopefully be halfway through her pregnancy at that time.

hence why thinking go with reservation 1 w/ MIC while waiting for reservation 2, hopefully MY22 with white modular top. Seems Id have a better chance getting a MY22 w/ white top earlier than ordering a white top from the dealership for MY21 bronco.

I'm getting a white 2 door. Probably a 21. I would like a white top - preferably a white modular top, because I think that white MIC would clash with the white rest of the truck.

I'm not going to wait for a 22 hoping that a white modular top would be available. I'd rather get my Bronco as soon as possible and put a soft top on it year round.

Here’s how I see it:
Build: 2dr CO Badlands, 2.3 / 7MT, mid or high, tow, floor mats and roof rails

I don’t believe Ford will do a 2.7 / 7MT - at least not anytime soon.

The white top is the only thing missing for me, unless Ford decides to offer stand alone options like the B&O in MY 22.

I’ll consider a lift, wheels with less offset, and 315’s later.

I do think there will be quality reasons to slip into MY22, and many questions would be answered if people and journalists could get there hands on real live Broncos.

Feeling conflicted ...

Yea I agree with all of ya! This launch seems a mess and not really figured out.
