Start 'em early. Nearly any passion you share with your kids early enough, they will likely lean into - unless they associate it with bad memories. Then the opposite will happen.

So true, my son is in his first year of college, had him in the garage with me when he was in a bouncer/walker when I worked on my 53 F100 or 67 Bronco. He is a gear head and his first car was/is a 65 Ford Fairlane 500 2 door hardtop. Did the same with my daughter, she is a sophmore in HS and wants a early bronco in orange!
Yea, my pops was the same, always had me helping in the garage, or doing home repairs and improvement around the house, including both roofs, yard and garden stuff, building fences. When I was too young to be of real help he'd have me holding the board study while he measured and double checked it and cut it. He didn't really need me to hold it, but being there all the time with him, I couldn't help but learn stuff. The goat looked like it could use a few cheeseburgers with friesI ordered my Bronco Feb. of 21. Gave up and bought off lot in Feb. 22 but kept my order. My daughter bought it when it was delivered in July. Worked out perfect because she is a travel nurse and was home here in Texas between contracts when the Bronco arrived.
We were able to do a few things to it before she left for Salt Lake to start a new nursing contract. A roof rack, graphics, grill lights, etc. We also put together a 4 way air up, air down set up with a Napa compressor. She got a few days off of work and sent me these pics last night from yesterday. So she no longer has a Mall Crawler. She made a trip to Moab from Salt Lake. I might add, I am quiet proud of her.
