Alternate Alternator

Does anyone know of Alternators you can upgrade to I cant find any for Gen6? Also what about any aftermarket parts to protect it from water when going in water, I mean a snorkel can't do much when your alternator is so low in the engine bay.

Unfortunately it doesn't do much

If you are changing out your alternator then can add it, but would not go through the trouble to just add it. If the water is dirty its still going to cause issues.

My alternator was replaced under warranty and the replacement had the shield. It worked great . Spent a whole day splashing through chocolate brown water in baja with it Didn't do full submersion or heavy heavy mud, but 20+ water puddle's splashing up everywhere.

Wrap your alternator in a plastic bag when going through water.

You got lucky then, we went out with 15 Broncos, 6 lost alternators, half of them already had the shield
