Aftermarket Headlight Issues

Hey everybody,
I have a set of Morimoto RGB headlights in my bronco and the halo rings are flashing. Morimoto is willing to replace them under warranty but I’m wondering if anybody’s RGB’s behave differently than mine? The only time my halos are on is when my Bronco is on and in gear or I have the parking lights turned on. Is this how all of them work? Morimoto says that’s correct because of daytime running lights, however the stock signature lights had the halos on whenever the truck was on.

That is correct. I just had to replace mine last week after them being installed for 10 months. One of the DRL LEDs started to go out. It was pretty painless. Contacted them on a monday and they shipped overnight got them on Wednesday, replaced them on Saturday, mailed back the old ones.

Thanks for the quick response, yea this will be my third set since December. Not to happy with their quality at the moment. I love their warranty and that’s really the biggest reason I’m staying with them. I just don’t understand why they didn’t wire them to match the behavior of the signature headlights.

This is completely normal and the exact same way they work with factory signature lights.
If it's day time, the halos wont come on until in drive.
If it's night time, the halos will be on all the time with the headlights.

The only difference between the 2 sets of lights, is the Morimoto halos will not come on when remote started, unlike the factory lights that will.

I'm not sure either, just the way the lights are programmed.

I love my Morimoto lights, when they are working right. I am on my 3rd set, and need to send these back too and get a 4th. Honestly, just tired of doing so. I have had them a little over a year.

So, I installed my 3rd set Saturday and I walk out for lunch and this set is already messed up. I'm to the point where I just want to return what I have and run the stock headlights. With that being said, is there any other headlights from other brands that have equivalent light output and better build quality?
