curious.. IF APG refers sales inquiries to ADV as posted repeatedly here, why when building a Pre-runner (what is a pre-runner?) for you, did they not go to their "partner" and "exclusive distributor" and say we have an opportunity here to put the ADV branded top on the @LiteBrite pre-runner and get more exposure. Seems a bit crafty for APG to have @LiteBrite market this as the "APG Prototype"
I would assume because APG is the designer and manufacturer and had a prototype on one of their in house vehicles which they removed to put on our vehicle to test it out. We do not have a production top. We have one of their finally revision prototype units and are supposed to swap to a production unit after customers receive their production units. There is no scheme here are far as I can see. It takes a lot of time and effort to make something like this. Hell, even the back glass that is curved was a huge undertaking to have made. To try to design and make something like this from start to finish I would think would take 3-4 years and millions of dollars with countless prototypes being built and tested over months to find the issues.

So I'm confused... SUPPOSEDLY this has always been APG's top... And supposedly ADV was going to be a distributor for APG.... and ADV has been holding off/lying to order holders for last 2 years +.
Now in your comments above you make it sound like prototypes looking good and APG about to start selling "their" top.
So if the "APG" top is about ready for sale, why wouldn't they ship to all the ADV customers (who once again was a distributor). Did APG think they were sitting on a cash cow? Said fuck ADV and all the money they gave us, we are going to make a killing on this top.
And on to the next, a lot of time to design and manufacture this top? LMAO. SORRY APG, but Turn Off road, Anderson Composites, Rally Tops, & Ford ALL beat you to market.
Just the way this is playing out, I'd be surprised if anyone would trust APG enough to buy their hard top.

It sure would be cool if any of the other top manufactures offered a special discount to those that have been screwed over. Bonus points if they post that deal in this thread!
Oh, sure that would be cool but are you thinking that other companies that have put in their own investment in a hardtop should give a handout from their pocket? There’s only two companies that owe customers anything and that is ADV and APG. They both benefitted from customer order money, or should I say customer investments. ADV asserts that APG received $4.4 million of customer money funding this top. If true, no matter how much anyone wants to spin it APG is the one who owes customers, who did not receive a refund, a top. APG referred inquiries to ADV for preorders, period. Proven here on 6G. If true as asserted by ADV, APG received $4.4 mil of that preorder money to do the 3-4 years of r&d (actually 2-3 years), perfected the top via “beta” testers (aka, silly u tubers and influencers), then as the top nears production quality bump ADV out of the picture, and sell the top directly to new customers. ADV made their bed so they should get what may be coming. Non-refunded customers should get what they had coming, a top from APG, and how about profit sharing. The only out for APG that I see is if they are able to prove that they received no customer funding through ADV. I will go a step further and even suggest that refunded customers should even receive a profit sharing portion.

For the record, where do I fall in this? I am former order holder from Feb 2022. I was one of the lucky ones who got out in time and asked for and received my refund in April of 2024.

Holy fuck @LiteBrite, do you listen to yourself?

I wonder where the Million$ that ADV collected as a distributor for APG went.

Could it be ... to APG to build your prototype?

The lights are pretty dim, as far as I can see.

Man, that's really nice of you offer. Everyone just send you their Venmo and you can send them all some money to cover buying from a different company.

What????? You don't want to do that???? Because it's not your responsibility???? Because ADV and that other POS company is the ones that did it?????

Yep, other companies that have to pay employees and planned properly and didn't make bad handshake business decisions and didn't 't force people to pay for their product with no ship date don't want to have supplement someone's else HUGE mistake either.
