Yeah, they even deleted their post that said they were a part of the project that was from 2 years ago. That really makes me wonder who is at fault here.

thank god I followed you guys early and got on the list. I spoke to Todd and he said its going crazy with all the phone calls after the ADV fiasco. glad my two buddies followed my lead a few months ago and got on tors list , they are scheduled for November shipments. as they said, its in time for winter.
The rear window defroster, washer is being sent separately. I guess Ill have an extra rear window in case in need it.
this tread is going to blow up, very interesting reading , I keep imagining what i would feel like if I hadn't bailed. especially with all the warning signs I really cut it close.

They didn't talk about the legal letter and the fact that ADV has known about the APG issue for months, maybe longer, and they've been selling tops in the meantime, while continuing to tell people, like me, that my top was "cruising through production" 2 days after their legal complaint against APG was filed. That's fraud.
TBD what the truth is about APG.
In the meantime I can say with certainty, based on hard facts in front of our faces, that ADV is engaged in fraud.
Hey everybody! As you can see, I'm not an active member of this amazing forum - but a long-time lurker. I got scammed by ADV the same as some of you. I didn't heed the previous warnings from wiser folks here in this thread, but a few weeks ago I finally smelled the stench and cancelled my order. I have an email from John on 7/26 saying that they would be mailing out a check to me in the next couple of weeks. Obviously that's not happening now so I'm gathering and organizing information for my attorney. In case it's of help to anyone that's pursuing legal action, or charge reversal via their bank or credit card company, I've organized some materials that might be useful to you. In the link below, you'll find a PDF of every "progress" email that I/we received (I ordered mine July of last year so I don't have some of the emails that others might have received.), a PDF of yesterday's cancellation email, a PDF of the ADV/APG lawsuit, and John's video. I was also able to use the Internet Wayback machine to snapshot a copy of their refund policy contained in the FAQ of the hardtop page of their website, and have included it as a JPG file. That FAQ read as follows:
"If for any reason we are not able to fulfill your pre-order, we will refund you for the full amount. Refunds will not be available on pre-orders where your order is still able to be fulfilled. Refunds will not be issued for longer lead-times. No cancellations on pre-orders after manufacturing has started. Advanced Fiberglass Concepts customer guarantee is that you can return your item within 30 days (20 business days) of receipt as long as it is unused, in like-new condition, returned in the original packaging, and you pay for all shipping charges; original shipping fees are non-refundable. All orders have a 35% restocking fee. We do not refund the credit card processing fee for any cancellation, returns, or restocks. Products are non-refundable if mounted or altered in any way. "

Lite Brite had an APG bronco built not too long ago and also had a hardtop put on. Probably a top that was supposed to go to a customer on the forum.

I know some aren't a fan of the video but there is a plus in that when a person google search "advanced fiberglass concepts", the video does come up at in top 4 results helping bring attention to this fiasco.
I thankfully have no dog in this hunt. I also do not have any experience with either company. Having said that, it's tragic for our members that this debacle has occurred. It seems to me both ADV and APG have gotten their skirts dirty stealing money from our members, intentionally or not.
Apparently ADV is the principal culprit here but I don’t see that APG has clean hands in this either. I'm aware some indicate they've had fair or good experiences with both but this is shameful all the way around and I certainly will have nothing to do with either company (if either survives) in the future.
